(NCRI) and (PMOI / MEK Iran): The charge against Assadi is one of terrorism.

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and The  People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran) reported that on February 4th, an Antwerp court in Belgium will reveal its verdict about Iran’s imprisoned diplomat-terrorist, Assadollah Assadi.

Verdict about mullahs diplomat-terrorist, on the way

In the meantime, the Iranian regime’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs insists that Assadi should be covered by so-called “diplomatic immunity.” It has said that the MEK [People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran] has set a trap for this Iranian diplomat.

European forces arrested Assadi and three other assistants who together tried to bomb the Iranian opposition rally in Paris in June 2018. Before Assadi’s arrest took place he was working in the role of 3rd third secretary at Iran’s embassy in Austria.

Terrorism Trial Begins

(NCRI) and (PMOI / MEK Iran): Assadi transferred the explosives to Nasimeh Na’ami and Amir Saadouni and told the couple to drop the bomb near Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the Iranian opposition president.

Assadi transferred the explosives to the EU using his diplomatic passport

The prosecutor had plenty of evidence proving that Assadi had transported 500 grams of extremely explosive TATP to Europe on a passenger plane. He managed to evade the security check by using his diplomatic passport. Assadi transferred the explosives to Nasimeh Na’ami and Amir Saadouni and told the couple to drop the bomb near Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the Iranian opposition president.

In the meantime, Saied Khatibzadeh, spokesperson for the world’s top executioner per head of population, complained that Assadi was being “jailed in inhumane conditions.” He also implied he hadn’t been given full access to his lawyer and had restrictions imposed on him communicating with his family.

These sorts of accusations are meaningless as the regime he represents has without good reason executed thousands of political prisoners who do not support the regime’s policies. Key figures in the regime today such as the Judiciary Chief, Ebrahim Raisi, and Justice Minister Alireza Avaii, played a key role in the 1988 massacre of over 30,000 political prisoners. Many of the victims were either members or supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran).

Commit mass murder on European soil under diplomatic immunity

Khatibzadeh claimed Assadi has diplomatic immunity and has been denied his “rights,” even though he was just about to commit mass murder on European soil. Throughout Assadi’s trial on both November 27th and December 3rd, the prosecutors found evidence in Assadi’s car that confirmed he played the key role in the thwarted bomb attack.

Also in the homes of his accomplices Na’ami, Saadouni, and Mehrdad Arefani there was plenty of proof that they were involved too.

Saadouni and his wife Na’ami began to cooperate with Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) in the mid-2000s. Prosecutors in the trial say that the terrorist couple began their discourse with Assadi in 2015, who they called “Daniel.” Up to their arrest in 2018, Saadouni and his wife were in contact all the time with Assadi and they both visited Iran several times.

Assadi accomplices were given money from the regime

The terrorist duo and Arefani were given money from the regime. At the same time, all three were receiving welfare benefits from the Belgian government and they had more than 100,000 Euros in their bank accounts and in cash at their houses.

Sadouni and Na’ami owned two vehicles and could afford to rent two apartments. Na’ami had 120,000 Euros in her bank account and 35,000 Euros in cash at her home.

Zarif and the regime as well as Assadi and his lawyer have continually questioned Belgium’s authority to convict or even keep Assadi behind bars.  Assadi has so far refused to appear in the court.

According to the prosecutors, Austria, where Assadi’s diplomatic mission is, cannot object to him being arrested because he was approached outside Austria and international law states he doesn’t possess diplomatic immunity.

The prosecutors also said that according to Belgium’s 2002 legislation, even if Assadi had diplomatic immunity, Belgian authorities were still entitled to arrest Assadi. This is because Assadi’s intended to commit mass murder; therefore, according to international law allows Belgian authorities can strip Assadi of any diplomatic immunity and arrest him.

The EU leaders should close all the regime’s embassies based in Europe and expel all of the mullahs’ agents. Zarif and other regime officials should be blacklisted because of the dangerous role they play as terrorists.
