coronavirus in Iran

Constant lies of the Iranian regime’s leaders about the reality of coronavirus crisis in Iran.

Comparing the everyday spreading of coronavirus in Iran with other countries shows the inhumane nature of the clerical regime. Continuing the cover-up of the virus outbreak, the government stays the leading cause of the spread of this virus in such dimensions.

Dr.  Minou Mohrez, a member of the Committee for the Prevention of Infectious Diseases of the Ministry of Health, said last week, “at least 40 percent of the population will be infected with the virus.”

In Iran, the government is not helping people in any way. Whatever help there is, will reach the Revolutionary Guards and the proxy forces of the regime. As a result, more than 40 percent of the population is at risk of becoming a victim.

Dr. Seyed Javad Tavakoli, Head of public relations and member of the board of directors of Mashhad Nursing System who lost his job for announcing the lack of facilities and personal protective equipment for nurses, said on March 7 that

“the nurses work with non-standard clothing and masks, there is a shortage of health supplies, the morale of our nurses is very low, and they have not been paid for 14 months.”

Salamat news quoted on March 18, Mohammad Sharifi Moghadam,  Secretary-General of the Nursing Home, affirming

“the high mortality rate of nurses due to coronavirus indicates the inadequacy of the country’s health officials, especially the Deputy Minister of Health and the Nursing System. From the lack of masks, gloves, and other equipment to the shortage of nursing staff.”

More than 100 doctors and medical staff died during treatment of coronavirus patients in Iran, and their names can be found in the following tweet:

Arman Daily wrote on March 7:

“Alireza Zali, Head of Coronavirus Task Force committee, shouts that the corona epidemic in the capital is visible as the Achilles’ heel of the corona outbreak in the country, but parts of the government say otherwise! The coronavirus continues to spread rapidly among the population, but according to the government, the cities are “white.” As we are witnessing, with the announcement of the white areas in several cities of Khuzestan province and the normalization of people’s social communication, now this vast province is the first region in the country to experience the second wave of coronavirus.”

Alireza Vahabzadeh, Advisor to the Minister of Health and head of the cyberspace of the coronavirus Task Force base, said on his twitter account on April 5 that

“coronavirus is inhibited or uncontrolled ….. neither passing the peak nor the descending process is right, there is no white situation. “Now, this is blowing fire under the corona ashes.”

Minister of Health Saeed Namaki said that there is “organized corruption” in medicine and the medical equipment section in Iran.

The Tabnak website quoted the chairman of the Parliamentary Food and Drug Committee that

“5,000 Faui-Pyravir tablets are lost! Of the imported pills, the first included 5,000 Japanese Avigan tablets, which remained monopolized by the authorities.”

Reuters reported that the discovery of 28 million hoarded medical gloves in two warehouses (Kahrizak) in Iran had faced many international reactions.

According to the Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization (PMOI/MEK Iran), Over 40,500 people have died of the novel coronavirus in 315 cities, but Khamenei and Rouhani’s strategy is based on lies. The Health Minister Saeed Namaki compared the coronavirus response budgets of other countries to Iran. He stressed that the regime had allocated a minimal amount to this task, and he revealed that the one billion euros that Khamenei had agreed to provide to coronavirus response efforts have not yet reached the Ministry of Health.

While the Iranian people are suffering from a shortage of anti-corona equipment, the regime is sending medical equipment to Lebanon.

“In addition to masks and personal protective equipment and disinfectants, these aids include 15 ventilators and 5,000, COVID-19 diagnostic kits. All of these, especially artificial respiration devices, are made in Iran. Lebanese Health Minister Hamad Hassan also praised Iran’s medical cargo,” said Mohammad Jalal Firuznia, the regime’s ambassador to Lebanon.

Besides, Hassan Rouhani has claimed that 20 percent of the Iranian budget will be dedicated to fighting coronavirus. All Iranian economists raised questions in their journals about the budget. Iran’s current budget has a deficit of 180 billion dollars. On the other hand, the rest of the budget calculations is based on people’s taxes and oil sales, but while the people are impoverished and unemployed, it is not clear which money and capital do the regime want to tax? While the price of oil, which was affected by the coronavirus crisis in the world, dropped to $ 20, how does the regime intend to sell or smuggle oil? In any case, the cost of extracting it is higher than the price, and so this claim is nothing but a lie.

The only solution for the regime is that 200$ billions of dollars of the Iranian people’s wealth in possession of foundations and organizations controlled by Khamenei be put at the disposal of the Iranian people.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), said the astounding rise in the coronavirus death toll and the upward trend of the crisis in many provinces, like Khuzestan, Lorestan, Central, and Hormozgan, are entirely due to the clerical regime’s inhuman policies. She added the only thing the mullahs are concerned about is to preserve their disgraceful rule. The Iranian people’s wealth has been squandered in the unpatriotic nuclear and missile projects, as well as in the export of terrorism and warmongering. In the first few months of the crisis, no severe assistance was provided to those infected, the deprived, and the destitute out of hundreds of billions of dollars’ worth of public wealth under the control of Khamenei and the IRGC.

The vast number of unemployed and hungry and the poor, in alignment with political protesters, including victims of November 2019 nationwide uprising, might eventually confront the IRGC and suppressive forces of the regime, already paralyzed by the corona crisis and internal conflicts, with a much bigger problem than in November.
