On April 3, regime expert Ali Bigdeli warned regime officials about Tehran’s critical political and international situation in an interview with the state-run daily Mostaghel.

Iran’s state-run media and some regime officials are portraying the country’s ruling theocracy as bound to fail. While criticizing the regime’s refusal to comply with foreign interlocutors’ demands in the ongoing nuclear talks, many of them have warned about the dangers of that approach. Others have criticized the regime for making a hasty and irrational decision to support Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, particularly after it became clear that Russia failed to achieve its goals when it launched its assault.

On April 3, regime expert Ali Bigdeli warned regime officials about Tehran’s critical political and international situation in an interview with the state-run daily Mostaghel. “The six-party meeting in Israel, which included Egypt, Bahrain, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and Morocco, adds to the pressure, as a new political-security alliance against us is formed, which Jordan and Turkey are likely to join.” The geopolitics of the region will be altered by Jordan’s overt and covert meetings with Israel and Iraq, as well as the transfer of gas to these countries. We will become increasingly isolated if we do not fundamentally change regional policies,” he said.

“Our regional policies have not worked very well so far,” Falahatpisheh added, referring to the regime’s regional defeats. “I wonder why our officials insist that the depth of our strategy is to pursue these policies.” These policies appear to have failed and resulted in nothing more than a political liability, according to the evidence. We spent so much in Syria, but now Syria is gravitating toward the Arab World.”

Falahatpisheh added: These policies appear to have failed and resulted in nothing more than a political liability, according to the evidence. We spent so much in Syria, but now Syria is gravitating toward the Arab World.”

He also advised the regime to end its defiance immediately and reach an agreement with Western countries, warning that if it does not, it will face serious social consequences.”There is no other way than negotiations that open a path forward,” Falahatpisheh said. But not the current negotiations, which have reached an impasse. Iran’s economy is also stalled, and if it does not improve, social unrest could erupt this year and next.”

He isn’t the only one who has warned the regime about the dire situation in which they find themselves. Many others are urging regime officials to cease their extremist actions against the Iranian people, such as the recent incident in Mashhad in which security forces attacked female soccer fans.

“Ignoring these kinds of demands creates a gap between an important part of society and the Raisi’s government, and even in some cases with the inappropriate performance of the officials, it creates deep social schisms,” the state-run daily Farhikhtegan, a publication affiliated with the regime’s so-called principlist faction, warned on April 1.

The Raisi’s government, and even in some cases with the inappropriate performance of the officials, it creates deep social schisms,” the state-run daily Farhikhtegan, a publication affiliated with the regime’s so-called principlist faction, warned on April 1.

“The middle class of Iran has been able to play a role as one of the most important actors in two great political transformations in the last century, namely the Constitutional and the 1979 Revolutions, respectively,” they added, recalling the middle class’s enormous capacity for change. In a country with such a strong middle class as Iran, any blow to this class can cause severe societal shocks and change the country’s fate and development.”

Last but not least, the state-run daily Ebtakar wrote on April 3 in an article titled “Things not to do in the new century,” “Despite many claims, we have widened social schisms.” The tyranny of selfishness is still evident in our management style. We make authoritarian and chaotic decisions, just like all classic dictators, and we don’t take responsibility for them. The material and spiritual resources of this country can no longer afford to pay so much.”
