During the visit, they expressed their support for the Iranian people’s uprising and Iranian opposition President-elect Maryam Rajavi of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and her ten-point plan for the future of Iran.
During their visit, Mrs. Rajavi emphasized that the September 2022 uprising in Iran has changed the power dynamic between the Iranian people and the ruling regime. Despite the brutal suppression, killings, and arrests, the regime can no longer maintain the same level of power as it did before the uprising. Mrs. Rajavi stated that the regime uses heinous acts under the guise of Islam to remain in power, but their actions are not representative of the true teachings of Islam.
She also expressed her desire to abolish the death penalty, eliminate the mullahs’ Sharia laws, and give equal rights to all Iranian nationalities who have suffered discrimination and suppression under Shah’s dictatorship and religious tyranny.
Dr. Fox also expressed his admiration for the bravery of the women of Iran, who are at the forefront of the struggle for freedom in Iran. He acknowledged their commitment to taking on the might of the regime, knowing the cost that it would entail. He further underlined his opposition to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal with world powers, as it does not deal with Iran’s ambition to become a nuclear weapon state and its ballistic weapons issue.
Honorable Franz Josef Jung, former Federal Minister of Defense of Germany, expressed his admiration for the courage and drive of the Iranian people in their struggle for freedom and democracy. He highlighted that the Iranian Resistance and Mrs. Rajavi’s ten-point plan are the basis for this freedom struggle.
The visit by former Defense Ministers of the United Kingdom and Germany to Ashraf 3 and their expression of support for the Iranian people’s uprising and Mrs. Rajavi’s ten-point plan have garnered attention and applause from supporters of the Iranian Resistance. The international community’s recognition and support for the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom and democracy remain crucial in their quest for a better future.
