Protesters rally against Reza Pahlavi’s invitation to Munich Security Conference

Members of the Iranian German Community expressed their outrage, recalling that the move is sending a wrong message to the people of Iran who have been struggling for freedom and democracy.
On February 17th, demonstrators gathered in Germany to protest the crackdown on protesters and regime crimes against humanity, as well as to condemn the invitation of Reza Pahlavi to the Munich Security Conference side event.
Farid Mahoutchian, Legal Advisor of the JU-Hamburg, spoke at the rally, stating that the people of Iran despise both the Shah and the mullahs, regardless of the biased media, pundits paid by the West, and regional dictators attempting to impose their preferred alternatives upon them. During the 155 days of their uprising, the people of Iran conveyed clear messages to the world, indicating their determination and will to struggle.
Pegah Jahanmiri, a supporter of the People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI/MEK), spoke out against the illusion of a fake opposition trying to fool the people of Iran with the remnants of the monarchy. She also expressed her admiration for the values the MEK stands for.
Hanif Mahoutchian: Whatever the media try to promote fake alternatives, the true face of #IranRevolution is different. Iranians are against the IRGC, but Shah's son supports this terrorist entity. #No2ShahNo2Mullahs#مرگ_بر_ستمگر_چه_شاه_باشه_چه_رهبر https://t.co/niPfnuE2tU

“I was fascinated by their longing to help other people, to stand up for a free Iran, and to commit themselves to that cause. Because despite all their suffering caused by the regime and those who kept putting hindrances in their way, they kept fighting. I had never experienced so much sacrifice for justness.”
Maliheh Malek-Mohammad noted that German officials have repeatedly said they side with the people of Iran in these protests. Despite extensive support from Europe and the United States, the Shah was eventually overthrown, causing hatred and anger among the Iranian people. She emphasized that the remnants of the hated monarchy have no place in this revolution.
Former national football player Bahram Mavadat expressed his disappointment at the invitation of Reza Pahlavi as a remnant of the extinct monarchial regime. As athletes and members of the Resistance who took part in the 1979 revolution against the Shah, along with millions of fellow countrymen and women, he declared that inviting Shah’s son on behalf of the MSC is striking and bewildering many Iranians who seek freedom.
Maliheh Malek Mohammadi: The people of Iran reject any kind of dictatorship. Those who were loyal to the Shah’s dictatorship and those who are loyal to the current regime are rejected. #No2ShahNo2Mullahs#مرگ_بر_ستمگر_چه_شاه_باشه_چه_رهبرhttps://t.co/NQKU1qqcml

The protesters called on the organizers of the Munich Security Conference to provide a platform for the Iranian civil society and to stop supporting the terror regime in Iran. They also urged the application of further sanctions and the proscription of the IRGC as a terror organization, noting that every support for this regime is treason against the Iranian people and all those who died striving for freedom.
