He was widely remembered as “Reza, the Bully” for his oppressive actions, including suppressing minorities and movements, intimidating the press and intelligentsia, disregarding the 1906 constitution and parliament, and forcing women in traditional communities to abandon their head coverings. He was also known to have killed journalists and politicians who spoke out against his brutal regime and to have suppressed Iranian intellectuals and free thinkers.

Reza Pahlavi, the son of the former ousted dictator of Iran, has been living a luxurious life in the United States with the wealth his father stole from the Iranian people. Despite this, he is trying to position himself as the rightful heir and ruler of Iran. He is trying to claim that the Shah was a benevolent ruler who brought modernization and progress to Iran, but this simply isn’t true. The reality is that Reza Khan rose to power through a coup with the support of the British imperial order, which sought to control Iran’s oil and secure British India.

Under the treaty with the Anglo-Persian Oil Company, the Shah was the primary recipient of 20% of the company’s profits. He used this wealth to enrich himself and his household, seizing vast estates and taking possession of valuable assets, including emeralds, rubies, diamonds, gold, silver, and artwork. He also centralized his power in Iran, suppressing minorities and movements, and limiting the growth of a free market.

Despite Pahlavi’s false sentiments being echoed by some Persian-language media with dubious agendas, it is important to remember the truth about the Shah and the Pahlavi dynasty. The Shah was a notorious figure who ruled with an iron fist, suppressing dissent and leading to widespread poverty, corruption, and illiteracy. He was widely remembered as “Reza, the Bully” for his oppressive actions, and his regime was marked by brutal human rights abuses. Reza Pahlavi’s claims to the throne of Iran are shrouded in lies and deceit, and the truth about the Pahlavi dynasty cannot be ignored.

The Iranian people have rejected the Shah and mullahs' regimes and any attempt to revive the dynasty will be met with resistance and rejection. The Iranian people deserve a future that is built on truth, justice, and freedom, not on the lies and deceit of a brutal past.
