According to recent reports, Massoumeh Senobari was arrested in Karaj on December 31, 2022, and transferred to the city’s Fardis Prison (Kachouii). Ms. Senobari’s family is unaware of her condition and is concerned for her well-being.

Mohammad Ali’s daughter, Massoumeh Senobari, was born in Tabriz in 1988 and has a daughter. She was imprisoned in the Tabriz Central Prison’s women’s ward after being sentenced to 8 years in prison on charges of “propaganda against the state” and “insulting” the mullahs’ supreme leader.

Massoumeh Senobari was arrested on February 24, 2019, and was transferred to the Tabriz Intelligence Department’s detention center. During interrogation, she was brutally tortured and was unable to walk due to vicious whipping. Her vision was blurred as a result of the blows to the head. Her leg broke and her heel cracked. In August 2019, she was released on bail of 600 million tomans pending her trial.

She was infected with the Covid-19 disease in October 2020, during a coronavirus outbreak in Tabriz’s Central Prison. The political prisoner also has heart problems, but the Tabriz prison authorities have refused to give her the medication provided by her family. In 2021, she was finally released from prison. Ms. Senobari was arrested again in Karaj and transferred to Fardis Prison (Kechoui) on December 31, 2022, and her current condition is unknown.

The clerical regime’s Judiciary informed MEK political prisoners Zahra Safaei and Parastoo Moini on January 30, 2023, that they would be deported to Qom prison. The two political prisoners are being held in Evin Prison at the moment. On February 24, 2020, security forces apprehended Zahra Safaei and Parastoo Moini and transferred them to Ward 209 of Evin Prison’s solitary cells. Political prisoner Zahra Safaei, her daughter Parastoo Moini, and her son Mohammad Massoud Moini were sentenced to eight years, six years, and six years of imprisonment, respectively, on January 23, 2021.

Zahra Safaei and her children are charged with “assembly and conspiracy to act against national security through communication with the People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI/MEK),” “achieving their goals,” and “participating in Mojahedin circles and gatherings.” Their other charge is “propaganda against the state by writing slogans, reading statements and letters, and putting up banners on public roads.”

 

 

Ms. Safaei was admitted to the hospital on August 31, 2021, after suffering a heart attack. She then had a heart operation. Despite her unfavorable physical conditions following the heart surgery and her inability to endure imprisonment, Zahra Safaei remains imprisoned.
