The Allamah University of Tehran students clashed with plainclothes security officers while yelling, “Don’t call me a seditionist, you are the oppressor,” and “You are the weed, I am the liberated woman.

 

On Thursday day, the 42nd day of the uprising, there were teacher strikes and student protests in Tehran and other cities. Student protesters from Sharif University in Tehran chanted “Freedom, freedom, freedom” and “Basij, this is the end of you” in front of the cafeteria. Students clashed with Basij agents, forcing them to flee.

 

 

The Allamah University of Tehran students clashed with plainclothes security officers while yelling, “Don’t call me a seditionist, you are the oppressor,” and “You are the weed, I am the liberated woman.” Soore University in Tehran’s architecture students demonstrated a hanging noose and wrote the names of uprising martyrs as a form of protest.

Students staged demonstrations in the universities of Amir Kabir, Tehran Social Sciences, Azad in Karaj, Gohardasht, Mazandaran, Razi in Kermanshah, Azad in Dezful, Isfahan, Azad in Homayunshahr, Architecture, and Art in Yazd, Azad in Jahrom, Ferdowsi in Mashhad, and others.

 

 

They chanted, “Shame on our disgraced leader,” “Death to the Supreme Leader after many long years of crimes,” “The university covered with blood, no to lectures,” “The student dies, but will not be humiliated,” “Mullahs must get lost” and “Pride students, support, support.”

In Ardabil, female students demonstrated and chanted, “We don’t want a child-killer to rule, we don’t want it.” Schoolgirls in Sanandaj and Mahabad chanted “Death to the dictator,” drivers joined them by honking horns, and suppressive agents confronted them with bird shots. On Kashani Street in Tehran, female students demonstrated.

 

 

In a number of cities, including Saqqez, Kermanshah, Kamyaran, Marivan, and Eslamshahr, teachers went on strike. A sizable image of Khamenei was set on fire in Rasht by the rebellious youths.

“At least five to six thousand people have been arrested in the street protests in the past month in Tehran province alone,” the state-run Etemad website reported on October 22. “More than 20,000 people have been detained in the most recent unrests, according to a report on the state-run Khabar Fori website from October 21.
