(PMOI / MEK Iran) and (NCRI): a former Swedish security police commander was detained for spying on behalf of the Iranian regime between 2011 and 2015.

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and the People’s Mujahedin of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran), reported that a former Swedish security police commander was detained for spying on behalf of the Iranian regime between 2011 and 2015, according to Swedish newspapers Aftonbladet and Expressen.

The Iranian regime’s terrorism

Peyman Kia’s detention emphasizes the need for a coordinated European response to the Iranian regime’s terrorism. The accused spy, Peyman Kia, is 40 years old, according to local and Persian language sources. While spying for Tehran, he had secured Swedish citizenship and served as a director in the Swedish Security Police (SPO) and an analyst in a Swedish military group.

Kia has been charged with espionage for “reasonable reasons,” according to the Swedish Security Service. His arrest comes a month after an Iranian couple was apprehended in Sweden for obtaining refugee status by posing as Afghans. They were the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security’s spies (MOIS).

Assadollah Assadi and his three accomplices were sentenced

In February 2021, Assadollah Assadi and his three accomplices were sentenced to nearly 70 years in jail by a court in Antwerp, Belgium, for attempting to attack an Iranian opposition gathering in France in 2018.

Assadi was a Vienna-based diplomat-terrorist who smuggled 500 grams of TATP bombs into Europe and gave them over to his two agents, Amir Sadouni and Nasimeh Na’ami. Sadoun and Na’ami, as well as another agent, Mehrdad Arefani, had obtained Belgian citizenship and pretended to be sympathizers of the Iranian opposition.

Terrorism Trial Begins

(PMOI / MEK Iran) and (NCRI): The trial of an Iranian diplomat on charges of terrorism signals the end of impunity for the regime.

Iranian regime’s sleeper cells operating throughout Europe

“The Iranian Resistance has detailed knowledge of the Iranian regime’s sleeper cells operating throughout Europe, which Assadi commands. The Iranian regime’s MOIS has a network of operatives operating across Europe, with the cooperation of the regime’s embassies, who abuse diplomatic facilities.

Mr. Javad Dabiran, the deputy director of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) representative office in Germany, informed Al-Arabiya on January 22, that Assadollah Assadi was at the helm of the Iranian regime’s intelligence network in Europe.

News conference in Berlin to expose new details of Iranian regime's failed terror plot in June 30th, 2018

(NCRI) and (PMOI / MEK Iran): News conference in Berlin-Exposing new details of the Iranian regime’s foiled terror plot to bomb Free Iran 2018 rally in Paris.

Assadi’s meetings with his agents took place in Germany

“Around 40% of Assadi’s meetings with his agents took place in Germany, specifically 144 out of 289 meetings. Two things are implied by this. Mr. Dabiran continued, “For starters, a large part of [the regime’s] network is based in Germany, and Germany is the epicenter of the Iranian regime’s terrorist activities.

Another MOIS conspiracy against the Iranian Resistance in Germany was exposed on the eve of Assadi’s conviction. The dictatorship has attempted to entice Iranians in Germany to spy on the NCRI’s German office and Javad Dabiran in exchange for “good money.”

(NCRI) and (PMOI / MEK Iran): Assadi was at the head of the Iranian regime’s intelligence network in Europe.

Regime spies across Europe

The recent arrest of another spy in Sweden, this time in a key security position, is the latest in a string of arrests of regime spies across Europe. It also shows how deeply embedded the regime’s spy network is in Europe, which is obscured by European leaders’ insistence on pursuing a failing appeasement strategy with Tehran.

In a leaked audiotape, Mohammad Javad Zarif, who oversaw Assadi’s 2018 terrorist plot in Europe, admitted that his Ministry is completely involved in terrorism and espionage.

(NCRI) and (PMOI / MEK Iran): Shamefully, the EU decided to disregard Assadi’s conviction.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs has had security concerns

“The majority of our Foreign Ministry ambassadors are protected by a security system. Since its inception, our Ministry of Foreign Affairs has had security concerns. Since the commencement of the revolution, the Foreign Ministry’s agenda has been a political-security agenda.

They closed down the Ministry’s economic directorate in the 1990s and replaced it with regional directors with stronger political and security inclinations,” Zarif said.

Assadi has been accused in a Belgian court

(NCRI) and (PMOI / MEK Iran): The MEK has exposed Assadi’s role as criminal and terrorist acting on behalf of his Iranian regime masters.

The EU’s leaders should take a tough stance against the dictatorship

The EU’s leaders should take a tough stance against the dictatorship. Appeasing this government would simply encourage it to carry out more terrorist attacks.

The EU should close the regime’s embassies and remove its operatives operating in the European Union under various pretexts, as the Iranian Resistance has urged.
