Qassem Soleimani, the most criminal IRGC chieftain

One year ago, the Iranian regime’s top terrorist Qassem Soleimani was killed in Iraq. During his time as the commander of the Quds Force, the branch of the notorious Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) that is in charge of the regime’s terrorist activities abroad, Soleimani was responsible for the deaths of thousands of people across the region.

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran) analysts say that he was despised by not only the people of Iran but by many across the Middle East.

Soleimani was, however, idolized by regime officials for furthering the regime’s agenda abroad. His death was a major blow to the regime and it tried to involve the people in commemorating him. But only a few days ago, officials admitted that he was unpopular at home and abroad.

(NCRI) and (PMOI / MEK Iran): The photo distributed widely on social media shows Qassem Soleimani during a meeting with several of the heads of Iraqi Militias including Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, head of the terrorist organization, Hashd al-sha’abi.

Officials acknowledged on state television that people across the Middle East celebrated his death.

Regime agents went as far as to display posters and images of Soleimani in areas such as Gaza. Videos are circulating on social media of people tearing these posters and images down, angry that they were put there in the first place.

Media outlets have been reporting on this, with the Orient News emphasizing that the Syrian opposition and the Palestinians are angry and disgusted by the images of Soleimani. They highlighted that he was in charge of the war against the people, including children, of Syria.

A propaganda campaign was a failure

After Soleimani’s death, the Iranian regime tried to make him out as a national hero but the people of Iran completely rejected this. A propaganda campaign was established by the regime to have Soleimani be remembered in a positive light. It was a failure then – because the people celebrated his death – and it is still a failure to this day. The people were so joyful to hear he had been killed because it was essentially removing one of the regime’s tools of suppression.

The (NCRI), and the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran), the main opposition to the Iranian regime, has also emphasized the malign role played by Soleimani over the years. The (PMOI / MEK Iran), has been victim to numerous actions led by Soleimani, such as the repeated attacks on its members in Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty in Iraq. Soleimani led the Camp Ashraf Massacre in which 52 (PMOI / MEK Iran), members were killed and seven abducted.

Soleimani go down in history as a criminal, a murderer, and a terrorist

Soleimani was more than a commander. He was a close ally of the country’s Supreme Leader and he had a huge influence on the affairs of the country. A special aide to the mullahs regime President said recently that Soleimani had a say in foreign policy and in negotiations.

Even the regime’s Foreign Minister admitted previously that Soleimani and he would meet regularly to discuss regional issues and “coordinate our measures”.

Despite the regime’s great efforts to have Soleimani go down in history as a national hero, the people of Iran and many people across the region are making sure that he is remembered for what he is – a criminal, a murderer, the regime’s top terrorist and a symbol of everything that stands in the way of peace.
