Uprising and coronavirus in Iran

The Iranian regime is afraid of uprising amid coronavirus crisis.

The people of Iran are deeply unhappy with the leadership of their country. The Iranian regime has spent decades plundering the nation’s wealth and it has prioritized the export of terrorism, fundamentalism and other belligerent activities, not just across the region but on an international level.

The people of Iran get poorer and poorer, with more and more people falling into the absolute poverty category. Yet the regime still chooses to funnel huge sums of money into its nuclear and ballistic missile programs.

The latest crisis in Iran is the Coronavirus outbreak that has killed more than 25,000 people across every single province. Since the beginning of the health crisis, the regime has shown its true intentions. It does not want to control the outbreak, nor is it capable of doing so.

It has completely mismanaged the situation and has done nothing but ensure that millions of people have become affected.

The main opposition to the Iranian regime, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran) has been assessing the situation and reporting accurately on what is happening inside the country. The regime’s death toll is only a fraction of what the PMOI / MEK Iran has reported. The regime is doing its usual downplaying of the situation.

The PMOI / MEK Iran and the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) have taken great efforts to help the people of Iran that have been left extremely vulnerable by the government. These organizations have been supporting the people of Iran for decades and their widespread popularity across the country is growing.

The Iranian regime already considers the opposition and its popular support among the people of Iran as one of the biggest threats to its existence. Its great work during the Coronavirus outbreak is giving the regime some major cause for concern and there is a high likelihood that another massive uprising will ensure.

A former Minister of Defence and Transportation Akbar Torkan recently said that the current year is going to be a “tough one” for the regime. He said that there are two viruses that the regime will have to contend with – the Coronavirus and the “Tirana virus”. When speaking about the “Tirana virus”, he is referring to the capital of Albania where 1,500 members of the MEK Iran are based. He claims that the MEK Iran members “sit behind computers in the state-of-the-art halls waging psychological and internet warfare against the Islamic Republic every day”. Torkan added that they are spreading as many rumors and lies as they can about the regime.

The MEK Iran there is working on behalf of the people of Iran to bring freedom, democracy, peace and human rights to all Iranians.

Other officials have warned that unrest will be very prevalent this coming year, admitting that the regime’s actions have angered the people.

During the recent protests and anti-government demonstrations, Iranians across the country made it very clear that they will not be giving up on their push for regime change. The current health crisis and the regime’s lack of action have only made them even more determined.
