Activities of MEK Resistance Units in Iran and supporters in the UK

In the heavy presence of security and suppressive forces of Iranian regime, on the same day when Ali Khamenei, Regime’s Supreme Leader, spoke at the Friday Sermon in Tehran, defiant youth tore up or torched posters of mastermind of terror, Qassem Soleimani, across Iran including Tehran, Kerman, Zanjan, Iranshahr, Fassa, Lahijan, Tabriz, Zahedan, and Masjed Soleiman.

Displaying desperation and frustration in the face of MEK Iran activities, Ali Khamenei, in his sermon said that a few hundred who insult Soleimani’s pictures were not the people of Iran!

Referring to the Friday sermon and Ali Khamenei’s remarks Mohammad Mohaddessin, Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) said: “In gathering Bassiji thugs across the country, Khamenei tried to confront the crippling blow with the termination of Soleimani and chants of death to Khamenei, and IRGC you’re ISIS by millions of Iranians. He displayed his deadly impasse and increased the nation’s rage.”

“Nevertheless, he admitted that the main task of Qods Force’s crime is to secure the regime’s stability inside Iran. He described millions of Iranians who chant “neither Gaza nor Lebanon, my life only for Iran,” as beguiled and unwilling to sacrifice for his despicable regime.” Mr. Mohaddessin added.

Supporters of MEK Iran activities

Anglo-Iranian communities and supporters of MEK Iran took part in a rally in London Trafalgar Square in support of Iran Protests against the downing of a Ukrainian airliner by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and condemning remarks by Khamenei where he defended IRGC and Soleimani labeling Pro-democracy protesters in Iran as “traitor to the nation”. Participant in the rally called the UK to recognize and support the democratic aspiration of Iranian people for democratic change in Iran.

In this rally Stephen Pound former Labor MP and Shadow Minister for Northern Ireland till November 2019 said: “Iran is a proud nation with a rich history. The recent wave of Iran Protests with popular slogans targeting Supreme Leader and suppressive IRGC show that the regime does not represent the Iranian people and people are determined to bring down the ruling theocracy.”

“UK must support these efforts and recognize the Iranian Resistance movement, NCRI, which is spearheading the struggle for a free and democratic Iran.” Mr. Proud added.

Malcolm Fowler, a former member of HR Committee of Law Society England and Wales told the rally:

” It’s time to stand with Iranian people and end impunity for the regime and its leaders who committing unspeakable atrocities against the people. the UK must work with allies at the UN to hold Mullahs’ regime to account.”

Dr. Jocellyne Scutt, a university professor at Cambridge said: “What we’re seeing on the streets of Tehran is women and students taking lead and organizing protests against the regime. They’re at forefront of Iran Protests demanding an end to theocracy’s rule in Iran”

In another event, the humanitarian organization, Amnesty International said in a statement that Iran’s security forces are using brutal force against protesters. This is the latest violence in a series of bloody crackdowns against peaceful protesters in Iran.
