Merry Christmas to our Christian compatriots and all followers of Christ. On this sacred day, we honor Jesus Christ, the great prophet of God and messenger of liberation for the oppressed. His life continues to inspire those who seek freedom and justice. We also salute the Virgin Mary, who stood firm in defending Jesus and his message, embodying purity and courage in confronting the forces of darkness in her time.
The birth of Jesus, son of Mary, heralds a timeless message of liberation, freedom, and justice for humanity. From the very beginning, his message has resonated with the downtrodden and afflicted. The angels proclaimed this joyous news: “I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today, a Savior has been born.” This day remains a symbol of hope for those “persecuted because of righteousness,” those “who mourn,” and those “who hunger and thirst for righteousness.” It assures us that “whoever seeks, finds” and that “everything is possible for one who believes.”
Faced with the deadlock of inevitable overthrow, the ruling mullahs have escalated their campaign of repression—executing #Iran’s youth on a daily basis, waging war on freedom, entrenching their misogyny, and intensifying their persecution and discrimination against ethnic… pic.twitter.com/NSist9OUdd

This year, the fall of a brutal dictatorship in Syria—a close ally of Iran’s oppressive regime—on the eve of Christmas, reaffirms Christ’s enduring message: the oppressed will be set free. This milestone offers hope to the people of Iran, who continue their struggle against the mullahs’ tyranny. The regime’s intensified repression—executions, poverty, and persecution of minorities—reflects their fear of inevitable overthrow. Millions suffer from poverty, unemployment, and environmental crises, yet hope persists.
The liberating teachings of Christ, along with those of Moses and Muhammad, guide the oppressed in their quest for freedom and justice. Across Iran, workers demanding their rights, Resistance Units challenging tyranny, and courageous women and men preparing for an uprising bring the day of liberation closer. The fall of the mullahs’ regime and the dismantling of its prisons will mark a new chapter of freedom for Iran. This Christmas, let us remember the enduring promise of Christ’s message: freedom and justice for all who fight for a better world.
