Across Iran, supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) marked the anniversary of the organization’s founding with acts of defiance and hope.
Despite harsh repression from the regime, PMOI’s Resistance Units, composed of brave men and women, along with their supporters, commemorated this important event, signifying the struggle for freedom and democracy in Iran. From the northern mountains to the southern plains, and across major cities such as Tehran, Isfahan, and Ahvaz, symbols of the PMOI and images of its founders, Mohammad Hanifnejad, Saeed Mohsen, and Asghar Badizadegan, were prominently displayed. Quotes from the organization’s leaders, Massoud and Maryam Rajavi, were also visible, demonstrating the widespread support for their message of resistance.
In various cities, including Rasht, Sari, Kermanshah, and Shiraz, PMOI members honored the anniversary with military salutes and slogans, such as “Long live the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran!” The resistance fighters, in their acts of defiance, chanted against the regime, declaring, “Khamenei, you tyrant, we will bury you!” and “The only path to freedom is through resistance and regime change!”

Supporters of the PMOI also adorned walls in Tehran, Mashhad, Shiraz, and Isfahan with the organization’s emblem and phrases commemorating the anniversary. In Dezful and Isfahan, posters of the organization’s emblem and quotes from Massoud Rajavi were seen, reflecting the dedication of PMOI members to their cause.
One notable quote read: “In the briefest words, the PMOI stands for loyalty to the cause with infinite sacrifice in the history of Iran.” In Ahvaz, posters proclaimed, “The PMOI means 60 years of selfless dedication.”

Throughout Zanjan, Qasr-e Shirin, Yazd, and Kashan, supporters displayed posters that highlighted the organization’s unwavering commitment to liberating Iran. In Kazerun, the phrase “The PMOI means 60 years of struggle” was boldly displayed, a testament to the organization’s long-standing resistance against tyranny.
PMOI supporters also organized creative and covert photo events in the streets of Tehran and other cities, paying tribute to the organization’s leadership and its founding members. These acts of courage demonstrated the broad reach of the PMOI’s influence and the determination of its supporters to continue the fight for freedom.

Even within Iran’s prisons, political prisoners voiced their support for the PMOI. From Evin and Ghezel Hesar Prisons, PMOI-supporting inmates sent messages of solidarity, referring to the organization as a “treasure of resistance and sacrifice” and the “vanguard of freedom.” Their messages highlighted the PMOI’s role as a symbol of the people’s power and a beacon of hope for Iran’s future.
Despite the regime’s oppressive efforts, the anniversary celebration of the PMOI stands as a powerful symbol of resistance and the unbreakable will of the Iranian people in their pursuit of freedom and democracy.
