This calculated retaliation comes in response to the growing nationwide movement boycotting the upcoming elections, posing a significant challenge to the mullahs’ regime.

Scheduled to kick off on February 27 at the Cultural Center of District 15 in Tehran, one of these exhibitions is set to unveil unique documents against the PMOI. Mostafa Zibaee Nezhad, the Cultural Deputy of Tehran Municipality, announced the event, emphasizing a separate inaugural ceremony due to the exhibition’s distinctive content.

Another exhibition against the PMOI is planned at the Cultural Center of Khavaran, where regime agents aim to discreetly introduce ballot boxes, attempting to downplay the absence of voter engagement in traditional polling precincts. The regime has enlisted various individuals, posing as artists and documentary filmmakers, to spearhead the organization of these exhibitions.

Acknowledging the widespread election boycott, Moghaddasi, the Friday prayer leader in Tehran, shared anecdotes of individuals dissuading him from voting. The sentiment of political apathy is further confirmed by Jahan Sanat, a government newspaper, which reported a significant portion of society distancing itself from the elections. Surveys conducted by government agencies predict an estimated 16-18% participation in Tehran, though external observers believe the actual figures to be lower.

Even the commander of the Revolutionary Guards, Hossein Salami, pleaded for participation, urging citizens to attend the ballot boxes on Friday for the sake of God’s satisfaction and in support of the nation, Islam, the Supreme Leader, and their beliefs.

The regime’s desperation to boost voter turnout reflects the underlying fear and vulnerability within its leadership, as evidenced by these counteractive exhibitions and public appeals.
