In the wake of a four-day campaign, Iranians and advocates for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) gathered in Geneva to vehemently oppose the anticipated visit of Iran’s regime representative to the Global Refugee Forum.

Originally expected to lead the Iranian delegation, President Ebrahim Raisi faced widespread condemnation for his direct involvement in the massacre of political prisoners and protesters.

The protest gained momentum after a formal complaint to the Swiss prosecutor, coupled with a document boasting over 330 signatures from former leaders, parliamentarians, and human rights advocates. In response, Tehran ultimately canceled Raisi’s trip, marking a significant victory for the demonstrators.

The Geneva rally saw expressions of joy at the campaign’s success and a strong condemnation of the policy of appeasement towards the Iranian regime. Protesters passionately called for an investigation into Raisi and other regime leaders, holding them accountable for decades of alleged crimes against humanity and genocide.

Key figures, including Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the NCRI, conveyed messages of solidarity and determination to the demonstrators. Political figures, former political prisoners, and representatives of Iranian communities addressed the crowd, emphasizing the need to continue the fight against the oppressive regime.

Paulo Casaca, a former Member of the European Parliament, highlighted recent victories while urging consistent protest against the Iranian regime. He underscored the importance of supporting the Iranian people’s quest for freedom rather than negotiating with the oppressive regime.

Former Mayor of Geneva, Rémy Pagani, praised the international campaign that successfully thwarted Raisi’s visit, encouraging continued resistance against the alleged brutal religious dictatorship in Iran.

Asghar Adibi, a former member of the Iranian national football team and NCRI member, delivered remarks, and Reverend Daniel Neeser emphasized the protesters’ role in the cancellation of Raisi’s trip.

Dudardel also acknowledged the vital role of women in the Iranian uprising and praised their leadership in the resistance movement.

Niels Dudardel, former representative of the Swiss Federal Parliament and NCRI’s lawyer in the case of Dr. Kazem Rajavi, commended the recent victories and highlighted the seriousness with which the Swiss prosecutor treated the complaint.

In conclusion, representatives of Iranian communities and relatives of martyrs expressed their determination to follow the path paved by the martyrs in the pursuit of achieving freedom. The final segment featured emotional addresses from representatives of Iranian communities and families of fallen resistance members, underscoring their unwavering commitment to the cause.
