Highly confidential documents obtained by the dissident group “GhyamSarnegouni” shed light on a significant allocation of funds by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), totaling as much as $6 billion.
The leaked reports, published recently, emphasize the urgent requirement for security equipment within the IRGC and Faraja security and law enforcement units, citing concerns over potential anti-regime protests.
The documents disclose a dispute between IRGC commanders, including Commander-in-Chief Hossein Salami, and the head of the Program and Budget Organization, Massoud Mirkazemi. The disagreement arises from Mirkazemi’s alleged refusal to allocate the necessary funds.
These revelations undermine the regime’s claims of insufficient funds to address the country’s economic crisis and the financial struggles faced by its citizens. The disclosed documents indicate a significant diversion of resources toward suppression and further cement the regime’s prioritization of control over the well-being of its people.
The first leaked document, dated 24-11-2022, is a message from the General Staff of the Armed Forces to President Ebrahim Raisi, highlighting the need for urgent assistance in providing security equipment. The document outlines the shortage of equipment in the IRGC and Faraja units, estimating the immediate requirement to be at least 10,000 billion tomans for cars, motorcycles, military equipment, clothing, individual gear, and operational costs.
In response, Salami demands an immediate allocation of funds for IRGC universities in Tehran province, emphasizing the pressing nature of the situation due to societal unrest.
Another document, dated 12-30-2022, is a communication from the Chief of Staff’s Office to Vice President Mohammad Mokhber and the head of the Program and Budget Organization, Massoud Mirkazemi. This document urges prompt action in response to the Chief of the General Staff’s request for necessary assistance in providing security equipment.
The report lists various universities, including the University of Tehran, Shahid Beheshti University, and Alzahra University, along with their proposed solutions and required funds.
The leaked documents also include a report from Tharallah Headquarters in Tehran, urging President Ebrahim Raisi to address the financial problems faced by universities in Tehran province.
These revelations present a critical challenge to the Iranian regime, as they expose the diversion of significant resources toward suppressing dissent, rather than addressing the dire economic situation and the hardships faced by the Iranian people. The leaked documents provide a glimpse into the regime’s priorities and underscore the need for prompt action to address the concerns of the Iranian society.
