This morning, in a distressing escalation of tensions, approximately 1,000 Albanian police officers stormed Ashraf 3, a residential facility of Iranian dissidents, at the alleged instigation of Iran’s ruling religious fascist regime.

The violent raid resulted in substantial property damage and numerous casualties, triggering widespread condemnation and sparking protests around the globe.

The police forcefully entered Ashraf 3, damaging doors, furniture, and equipment. Pepper spray and tear gas were used against the residents, and numerous computers were confiscated or damaged. This shocking attack has led to one fatality and left over 100 people suffering injuries, some of whom are in critical condition and have been transferred to Mother Teresa Hospital in Tirana for treatment.

The deceased, Mr. Ali Mostashari, was a member of the People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI/MEK), a political opposition group to the Iranian regime.

In response to the events, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) issued a statement, expressing their outrage and alarm. “The actions of the Albanian police are reminiscent of the criminal attacks by Nouri al-Maliki forces on Camp Ashraf in Iraq between 2009 and 2015,” the statement read.

The Iranian Resistance has called on the U.S. Government and the United Nations to strongly condemn this ‘criminal and barbaric behavior’, reminding them of their repeated pledges to ensure the safety and well-being of Ashraf residents. They have demanded guarantees to prevent similar incidents, stating such actions violate several international treaties, including the Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees, Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the European Convention on Human Rights.

In the aftermath of the attack, freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the Iranian Resistance staged protest rallies outside Albanian embassies and consulates worldwide. In Paris, The Hague, Stockholm, and Essen, protesters gathered to express their indignation, warning against negotiations with the Iranian regime and condemning any form of appeasement. Demonstrators chanted slogans such as “Those who shake the hands of the mullahs are complicit in their crimes!” and “Shame on this deal!”

As this international crisis unfolds, the world watches and waits to see how governments and international bodies will respond to these blatant human rights violations and demands for justice.
