Recently, the Slovenian Parliament has issued a major endorsement for Maryam Rajavi’s 10-point plan, representing the aspirations of the Iranian people for a democratic republic.

A statement signed by the majority of representatives, including former Prime Minister of Slovenia, three party leaders, eight Foreign Affairs Committee members, and a former Defense Minister, expressed explicit support for the proposed transformation.

The 47 members, from a total of 90, acknowledged the Iranian people’s outright rejection of all forms of dictatorship, manifested in their slogans during the nationwide uprising. They highlighted that the public outcry rejects both the deposed dictatorship of the Shah and the current religious regime.

“Through their slogans, the Iranian people have made it clear that they reject all forms of dictatorship, be it the deposed Shah or the current theocratic regime and thus reject any association with either,” the statement reads. The representatives further condemned the repression of these demonstrations, which led to the death of over 700 protesters and the arrest of more than 30,000 individuals.

The Slovenian Parliament rallied the international community to support the Iranian people’s endeavor for change, with decisive actions against the current regime. They called for measures such as blacklisting the Revolutionary Guards and bringing state officials to account for their crimes against humanity.

They called for measures such as blacklisting the Revolutionary Guards and bringing state officials to account for their crimes against humanity.

“The Iranian people’s courageous uprising can be attributed, on the one hand, to the explosive state of Iranian society, a product of suppression, poverty, discrimination, and government corruption,” the statement explained, “We urge the international community to stand with the Iranian people in their quest for change and to take decisive steps against the current regime.”

With regard to the change in Iran, the Parliament recognizes the role of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and its leader Maryam Rajavi. Her 10-point plan, which calls for free elections, freedom of assembly, gender equality, and a non-nuclear Iran, among others, was presented as deserving their support.

“We believe the Ten-point Plan articulated by the NCRI President, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, deserves our support,” the statement asserts, “It stands for free elections, freedom of assembly and expression, abolition of the death penalty, gender equality, the separation of religion and state, autonomy for Iran’s ethnicities, and a non-nuclear Iran.”

The Slovenian Parliament’s backing of Maryam Rajavi’s plan is a significant move that adds weight to the growing international support for the Iranian people’s democratic aspirations.
