In response to a mounting wave of executions by Iran’s ruling regime, the people of Iran are standing up in protest. Since April 21, at least 90 executions have been carried out, igniting fury and resistance from Iranians nationwide.

Fierce youths and members of the Iranian opposition, the People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI/MEK), have initiated campaigns against the government’s brutal crackdown.

Now, on the 244th day of the national uprising, Iran is in a state of tumult, with protests spreading to 282 cities. Citizens explicitly hold Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei responsible for their plight, denouncing the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and other oppressive security units for their violent repression of peaceful protesters.

MEK reports reveal that over 750 people have been killed and more than 30,000 arrested by the regime’s forces. In retaliation, courageous youths and members of the MEK Resistance Units have instigated an anti-regime campaign across Tehran and eight other cities, decrying the mullahs’ bloody spate of executions.

The acts of protest have ranged from attacks on the regime’s judiciary branch in Mashhad to assaults on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Basij bases in Tehran, Arak, Kermanshah, and Urmia. Activists have also targeted the “Khomeini Relief Committee” in Urmia and a branch of the regime’s economic foundations in Bandar Anzali.

An imminent execution of a protester, Saeed Yaghubi, has sparked further outrage. Yaghubi’s family received a final visitation notice, adding a sense of urgency to the resistance. Other families facing similar circumstances are appealing to the public for support.

Meanwhile, Amnesty International is sounding the alarm, with public protests outside prisons mounting. The roads leading to Dastgerd Prison, where three protesters are at risk of imminent execution, have been shut down, preventing rallies at the facility.

Despite these obstacles, anti-regime slogans echo through the streets of Tehran districts, including Ekbatan and Shahrak-e Bagheri, denouncing Khamenei and the escalating executions.

Elsewhere, pensioners and retirees protest against rising prices, poverty, and corruption, further illustrating the widespread discontent with the government’s refusal to address their demands. Protesters in Shiraz and Ilam are also rallying for housing rights.

The rising executions and the regime’s brutal repression have served to unite the people of Iran in their call for justice and reform. As the number of executions increases, so does the resolve of the Iranian people, continuing their fight against the oppressive regime.
