Iran’s oil, gas, and petrochemical industries generate astronomical revenues, but unfortunately, they are mainly controlled by the Revolutionary Guards and Khamenei-affiliated institutions. These entities leverage their government powers to exploit workers and stifle any form of dissent or protest.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), saluted the striking workers in Iran’s oil and petrochemical industry across various cities. She highlighted the fact that while the hardworking people and laborers of Iran are deprived of their basic rights and struggle to make ends meet, the leaders of the anti-labor regime, including the IRGC commanders and corrupt children of the regime’s elites, continue to loot the country’s wealth in astronomical proportions.

These same leaders waste the nation’s resources on anti-patriotic nuclear and missile projects, as well as foreign war-mongering, all to maintain the infamous Velayat-e Faqih system. Mrs. Rajavi emphasized that the only way to achieve freedom, justice, and sovereignty for the Iranian people is through resistance and an uprising to overthrow the current regime.
