Iran’s supreme leader, Khamenei, has broken his silence regarding the poisoning of girl students and the mounting evidence of the direct involvement of agencies under the command of the regime’s supreme leader.

During a recent tree-planting ceremony, Khamenei called for officials and intelligence and law enforcement agencies to follow the case seriously and ensure that those involved, including the agents and the masterminds, be severely punished.

However, Iranian opposition President-elect Maryam Rajavi of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), believes that Khamenei’s statement is a belated attempt to find someone to blame. She asserts that the only parties responsible are Khamenei and the agencies and elements under his command. Rajavi has called for an international investigation mission to be formed, and protests and demonstrations are to be stepped up.

Iran’s President, Ebrahim Raisi, had previously addressed the poisoning matter in a cabinet meeting, quoting the Minister of Intelligence’s report that the issue is part of a larger conspiracy by the enemy aimed at creating societal unrest, fear-mongering, and public anxiety among the children in the country.

Judiciary Chief Gholam Hossein Mohseni Eje’i has also weighed in on the situation. He threatened people who inflame the environment and spread lies regarding the poisoning issue, saying they must be summoned. The chief added that those who poison students are corrupting the earth. He further stated that the enemy is supporting, inciting, and abusing some social anomalies, including issues against public modesty, Sharia, and the law.

Ahmad Alam Al-Hadi, Khamenei’s representative in Mashhad, has said that the security authority of the system can no longer handle the matter. On the issue of the hijab, he called on people to stand up and confront the process of removing it.

Several journalists in the state media have reportedly been arrested for writing about the matter, and the poisoning trend continues. On Monday, the Faculty of Basic Sciences of Mohaghegh Ardabili University in Ardabil was attacked with poisonous gas. Other schools targeted include Alimohammadi in Ilam, Masal, Khanzad Amol, Faridah Miri, Sabouri schools in Babol, Resalat, Zainabieh, and Shahid Schools in Durood, etc.

The families of the students gathered in Divandarreh and Dehloran to protest and demand that the Iranian authorities take urgent action to stop the poisoning of girl students. The International Community is urged to intervene and ensure that the perpetrators of this heinous act are brought to justice.
