Dozens of schools across Iran are being targeted in chemical gas attacks by regime operatives, leaving hundreds of schoolgirls in need of medical care.

Chemical gas attacks by Iranian regime operatives have been reported in dozens of schools across the country, with signs of more attacks to come. The trend started on Saturday, with further attacks reported in cities including Ilam, Isfahan, Kermanshah, Tabriz, and Urmia on Sunday. Parents and locals protested on Saturday, and some were met with force from regime security forces.

Protests have spread across at least 282 cities in Iran, with reports of 750 people killed and more than 30,000 arrested by the regime’s forces. The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and Basij units have been condemned, alongside other security units that have been suppressing the peaceful demonstrators. The People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has published the names of 664 killed protesters.

Reports of the latest string of poisonous gas attacks have targeted schoolgirls in different cities across Iran. At least 73 students became ill following a chemical gas attack on a girls’ dormitory in Urmia, while an attack on the Payame Shahed High School in Isfahan and the Shayestegan School in Fuladshahr, Isfahan Province, left many students ill. Similar attacks were reported in other cities, with students transferred to hospitals for medical care.

Parents in Kashan, central Iran, protested outside the Education Department following the chemical gas attacks on their children’s schools. Regime operatives have targeted many other schools, including the all-girls Edalat High School in Shiraz, the Tavana High School in Ahvaz, and the Abu Reyhan School in Tehran. At least six other schools were attacked in Ahvaz alone. The Somayeh High School in Khalkhal and the Hejrat School in Yasuj were also targeted by regime operatives.

People across Iran are holding Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and the regime responsible for their miseries. Chants of “Death to the dictator!” and “Death to the ISIS-type regime!” were heard in various districts of Tehran and Bandar Abbas. Other chants included “Death to Khamenei, the murderer!”

Iranian opposition President-elect Maryam Rajavi of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) condemned the ongoing chemical attacks by regime operatives targeting schools across the country.

“We express our sympathies to the parents of the students affected by the chain poisoning of schoolgirls in various cities of Iran, and we salute their resistance and protest against this criminal regime. Khamenei is seeking revenge on the girls who played a decisive role in the recent uprising in Iran. We urge the UN and relevant agencies, such as UNICEF and the UNSRVAW, to investigate and respond firmly,” the NCRI President-elect emphasized.

The recent spate of chemical gas attacks on schoolgirls has sparked further outrage across Iran, with many demanding an end to the regime’s oppressive tactics. As the protests continue, it remains to be seen how the regime will respond to the growing unrest.
