The annual revolution anniversary marches in Iran, aimed at claiming legitimacy by the ruling regime, were met with a nationwide boycott by the Iranian people.

This was yet another embarrassment for Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and his regime. In response, a massive crowd of Iranians and supporters of the Iranian opposition coalition National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)  and its cornerstone member, the People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI/MEK), rallied in Paris in solidarity with the ongoing Iran revolution protests across the country.

Over 10,000 Iranians and several distinguished European politicians and lawmakers from France, the United Kingdom, Belgium and other countries gathered to voice their continued support for the Iranian people’s democratic aspirations and rejection of tyranny. NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi was the keynote speaker at the event.

The nationwide uprising in Iran is marking its 150th day as protesters across the country continue their anti-regime demonstrations, torching propaganda billboards, posters, and banners, and chanting slogans against the dictatorship during night rallies. The protests have now expanded to at least 282 cities and, according to sources of the Iranian opposition PMOI/MEK, over 750 people have been killed and more than 30,000 have been arrested by the regime’s forces.

MEK Resistance Units members marched in various cities in Iran on Saturday, marking the 1979 anti-monarchial revolution and emphasizing their opposition to the mullahs’ regime. Their slogans included calls for democracy, freedom, and the overthrow of the current regime.

In an online message to a recent conference at the Norwegian Parliament, NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi explained that a new revolution to end the religious tyranny in Iran was in the making. She also addressed the regime’s campaign to imply there is no credible democratic alternative in Iran and the demonization campaign against the NCRI and MEK during the uprisings.

The NCRI President-elect emphasized the need for Europe to hear the Iranian people’s voice and recognize the Iranian people’s resistance and their right to self-defense. She also called for the blacklisting of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist entity and the recognition of the NCRI’s aim to establish a democratic republic based on free elections and equality.

On Sunday night, locals in Tehran’s different districts began chanting slogans against the regime and demonstrating their support for the opposition. Retirees and pensioners of the regime’s Social Security Organization held gatherings on Sunday in Ahvaz, the capital of Khuzestan Province, Shush and Kerman, protesting low pensions and poor economic conditions. Workers of a copper mine in the city of Sirjan of Fars Province in south-central Iran went also on strike. The Iranian nation has made it clear that they will not accept tyranny and will continue to fight for their rights and freedoms.
