The Iranian regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) has been caught publishing false information about the People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI/MEK) on a suspicious website called “Azariha website” on February 5, 2023.

This action was taken in an effort to evade the implications of the conspiracy and crime committed at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tehran.

The article published by the website makes false claims about the attacker (Yasin Hosseinzadeh, known as Safar), and the relationship between the MEK and the Republic of Azerbaijan. The website alleges that the attacker suffered from a mental disorder and was engaged in smuggling activities related to the MEK and the Pan-Azeris. However, the MEK has no information or contact with Yasin Hosseinzadeh or his brother.

The birth certificate of Yasin Hosseinzadeh, which was published by the IRGC news agency, clearly states that he was born in 1969 and was a minor at the time of the revolution, and thus could not be a MEK affiliate.

The birth certificate of Yasin Hosseinzadeh, which was published by the IRGC news agency, clearly states that he was born in 1969 and was a minor at the time of the revolution, and thus could not be a MEK affiliate.

The website also claims that the MEK has offices in Azerbaijan and that a member of the parliament of Azerbaijan, Saber Rostam Khanli, attended the annual meeting of the MEK in Albania and gave a speech in support of the organization. However, these claims are also false. The MEK does not have any offices or representation in Azerbaijan, and Mr. Saber Rostam Khanli did not attend the annual meeting of the MEK in Albania, nor did he give a speech. His message of support was given online in 2021.

The visit of the President of Azerbaijan to Albania was not related to the MEK. The MOIS’s claims about the relationship between the two countries and the MEK are unfounded. The Security and Counterterrorism Committee has demanded the presence of the representatives and lawyers of the Republic of Azerbaijan during the investigations into this case in Tehran, and the publication of the results of the investigations for public information.

It is evident that the MOIS is trying to spread false information in order to cover up the implications of the crime committed at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tehran. The Security and Counterterrorism Committee will ensure that the truth is brought to light.
