“There are still patients in our ICUs. This is why the death toll remains in the high figures and it appears these figures will continue for the next two weeks,” said Masoud Mardani one of the mullahs officials.

 

Over 515,600 people have died of the novel coronavirus in 547 cities checkered across all of Iran’s 31 provinces, according to reports tallied by the Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) as of Wednesday afternoon, local time, March 2. The official figure stands at 137,267, around a fourth of the actual figure.

 

The coronavirus death toll in various provinces includes 120,955 in Tehran, 41,305 in Khorasan, Razavi  35,840 in Isfahan, 31,005 in Khuzestan, 19,810 in Fars, 19,433 in West Azerbaijan, 18,470 in Mazandaran, 17,858 in East Azerbaijan, 17,755 in Gilan, 16,845 in Gilan, 15,043 in Alborz, 14,170 in Sistan & Baluchistan, 14,042 in Kerman, 9,533 in Hamedan, 9,373 in Markazi (Central), 8,565 in Hormozgan, 8,508 in Yazd, 8,442 in Kurdistan, 6,785 in Semnan, 6,668 in North Khorasan, 6,646 in Ardabil, 6183 in Qazvin, and 4,970 in Zanjan. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.

The regime’s Health Ministry announced the mullahs’ engineered Covid-19 numbers from the past 24 hours on Wednesday as 6,234 new cases and 203 deaths. Furthermore, 4,066 patients are in ICUs and 1,272 of the new cases have been hospitalized.

“There are still patients in our ICUs. This is why the death toll remains in the high figures and it appears these figures will continue for the next two weeks,” said Masoud Mardani, a senior member of the National Covid-19 Task Force on Tuesday, according to the semi-official news agency, ISNA.

“The increasing death toll in [Ardabil] province continues to climb. The number of people hospitalized has escalated significantly and if this trend continues, we will have no empty beds in our hospitals,” according to a statement released on Tuesday by the Ardabil Medical Sciences University.

“With 147 coronavirus patients hospitalized in the past 24 hours, we currently have 965 patients hospitalized, of which 187 are in ICUs,” according to a statement released by the Shiraz Medical Sciences University on Tuesday regarding Fars province. “The daily death toll in East Azerbaijan province is increasing. We currently have 239 coronavirus patients in ICUs,” according to a statement released by the Tabriz Medical Sciences University on Tuesday.

 

 

“During the past 24 hours 141 coronavirus patients have been hospitalized. We currently have 651 patients hospitalized of which 179 are in ICUs,” according to a statement released by the West Azerbaijan Medical Sciences University on Tuesday.

“The death toll remains high, and this is related to patients who have been placed in ICUs during the past three weeks,” said the spokesperson of the Khuzestan Covid-19 Task Force on Tuesday, according to the Fars news agency, an outlet linked to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).
