MEK: Telethon A Platform that calls for Democracy and Unity in Iran
Iranians are in one of their most delicate and critical periods in history. They have arrived at a stage where every Iranian, regardless of political ideology or inclination, may contribute to the upcoming shift in the country’s fate and pay his or her portion for a free Iran, which has been devastated by the mullahs for the past four decades. Today, we all have the chance to contribute to Iran’s liberation. The Simay-e Azadi, Iran’s independent and free national television, is a critical medium for advocating for Iran’s independence. We can be the voice of Iran’s voiceless, destitute, and oppressed society by supporting this national channel.
TV channel Simaye Azadi is to oppose dictatorship
Many Iranian households are struggling to make ends meet and are living in poverty. Simay-e Azadi has emerged as the sole legitimate voice for people’s protests, political prisoners, and oppressed women. The Iranian regime is a totalitarian, criminal, and terrorist state that is despised by the whole population, isolated internationally, and vanquished in all economic, social, and political spheres. It has only remained in power due to its uncontrolled repression and the world powers’ despicable appeasement.
The Iranian people and their resistance, on the other hand, have been resisting this dictatorship for more than four decades. This regime has met its end, whether or not there is a nuclear weapon or the appeasement strategy continues. The regime will not be helped by auctioning the country’s wealth. In light of the protests in 2009, 2017, 2019, and 2020, as well as the continued rise of Resistance Units, society is in an explosive state.
More than 40 million people living in absolute poverty
“72 percent of Iranians are entitled to donations,” claimed Ahmad Tavakoli, a member of the Expediency Council. And 60 percent of the country’s population lives in poverty, and if the situation does not improve, something uncontrollable may occur.”Mohammad Reza Mahboubfar, a regime expert, made a comment about the number of people living in poverty doubling.
On March 13, 2018, he stated that 80 percent of the population lives in poverty. According to statistics, poverty in Iran has risen in the last three years, with more than 40 million people living in absolute poverty, with many unable to buy even one meal. In a scenario when teachers and workers are three to four times poor, the government has decided to make up for the budget shortfall by raising taxes by up to 73 percent and putting even more pressure on the people.
Support the opposition’s TV channel Simaye Azadi
The regime has even canceled the country’s development budget while increasing funding for the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) and other repressive agencies. The IRGC’s budget has grown by 240 percent, while the state-run broadcaster’s budget has grown by 56 percent.
Supporting the opposition’s TV channel Simaye Azadi, not just financially, but also with our voices, hearts, and ideas, is the finest way to oppose the dictatorship. From January 14 to January 16, 2022, participate in the countrywide fundraising campaign for Simay-e Azadi.
Today, we all have an opportunity to contribute to Iran’s freedom. Iran’s independent and free national TV, the Simay-e Azadi, is an essential medium to advocate for Iran’s freedom. By supporting this national channel, we can be the voice of the voiceless, deprived, and repressed society of Iran.
