27 death sentences were carried out in October 2021

At least 27 death sentences were carried out in various Iranian prisons in October 2021. Twelve victims were convicted of drug offenses, while another 13 were charged with murder, one of whom was a woman.

A prisoner was executed by the authorities in Shiraz on November 2. The detainee was identified as Mohammad Raisi, a 23-year-old son of Eqbal from the Fanuj County village of Ritek.

The night before his execution, the prisoner called his family to inform them that he had been transported to the prison quarantine. When his family arrived in Shiraz the next day, they were directed to the mortuary to pick up his remains.

 

 

Prisoners are seized by the Intelligence Ministry

Previously, another prisoner died in a Khoy hospital after Enucleation (the surgical technique that involves the removal of the entire globe and its intraocular contents) and several days in a coma after contracting the coronavirus and being treated with the incorrect medication, which resulted in brain infection. The inhumane act was that he was held in the hospital with his hands and feet cuffed long after he died.

Kamran Rezaifar, a political prisoner, was sentenced to death in late September. Judge Amouzad of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court Branch 28 issued this judgment, which is the court’s lesser penalty.

The political prisoner was seized by the Intelligence Ministry in January 2019 and brought to Evin Prison Wards 240 and 209 for interrogation on charges of ties to the People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran).

 

 

A prisoner was in solitary confinement for 77 days

He was imprisoned in solitary confinement for 77 days in order to coerce him into making false admissions., numerous members of his family, including his wife and kid, were imprisoned and then freed in an attempt to put pressure on the prisoner.

Mr. Rezaifar was released on high bail when the interrogation was completed. However, in May 2020, he was re-arrested and transported to Evin Prison after being summoned to interrogation without explanation.

 

Another prisoner charged with Enmity against God

This political prisoner was moved to Branch 28 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court, chaired by Amouzad, on Monday, December 28, and charged with Enmity against God. Judge Amouzad finally handed down his death sentence in September 2021.

Cases like the one mentioned above demonstrate Iran’s terrible human rights situation. The regime is well aware that the people are aware of the regime’s weak status, thus it is forced to use increasingly brutal techniques against them. It seeks to overcome this scenario by regulating the public’s growing rage as a result of hunger, poverty, and other social crises, which it sees as preventative measures.
