The National Council of Resistance of Iran´s (NCRI) U.S. Representative Office conducted a news conference on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, and revealed previously undisclosed details of the Iranian regime’s vast UAV program.

The NCRI has uncovered dozens of key facilities

The network of People’s Mujahedin of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran), within Iran, has accumulated worrisome new facts on the program, which is run by the IRGC’s Qods Force. The NCRI has uncovered dozens of key facilities and centers of Tehran’s nuclear weapons development, ambitious missile program, and regional terrorism network during the last two decades.

Drones are one of the main weapons utilized by the Iranian dictatorship to export terrorism and warmongering, which is why, despite severe economic constraints, Tehran has spent extensively on drone manufacture over the last decade.

(IRGC) is primarily deploying unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)

The Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is primarily deploying unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for terrorist operations and supporting its regional proxies. To some extent, the dictatorship is using this technology to compensate for its aging and decrepit Air Force.

A review of the entire drone production, use, and export cycle, as well as its current expansion, indicates the following:

Despite, and in part as a result of, the nuclear deal’s concessions and Western countries’ decision to turn a blind eye to the clerical regime’s destabilizing activities, terrorism export and incitement to war in the region remain pillars for the regime’s survival and have gained more prominence in the regime’s eyes.

The dictatorship spends billions of dollars on missiles

The dictatorship spends billions of dollars on missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), despite the fact that 80% of Iranians live in poverty and that budgets for health care, education, and other national needs are astronomically lower than military spending.

The dictatorship did little to help the Iranian people during the coronavirus outbreak, and the number of victims has now surpassed 450,000, greatly exceeding other countries on a per capita basis. “No to Gaza, no to Lebanon, my life solely for Iran,” and “Leave Syria, think about us instead,” have been chanted by Iranians in recent years.

Export terrorism and warmongering in the region

These operations demonstrate that the regime expropriated billions of dollars acquired through the lifting of sanctions as part of the nuclear deal and plundering Iran’s national riches to manufacture and produce such weapons in order to export terrorism and warmongering in the region.

All Western dealings with the Iranian dictatorship must come to an end, especially following Raisi’s election. Demands must cover all actions related to drone manufacturing, use, and research, as well as the regime’s missile program. Otherwise, in order to buy time and maintain its power, the clerical regime will focus more on promoting regional instability and domestic oppression.
