The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and the People’s Mujahedin of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran), 432,300 people had died in Iran as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak as of September 20.
The number of victims across Iran
The number of victims in Tehran has reached 101,496, Khorasan Razavi 35,175, Isfahan 28,650, Khuzestan 26,476, Mazandaran 16,345, Fars 15,514, West Azerbaijan 15,308, East Azerbaijan 15,303, Gilan 15,045, Alborz 12,668, Qom 11,910, Kerman 11,402, Golestan 9,865, Central Province 7,928, Kermanshah 7,624, Hormozgan 7,405, Yazd 7,218, Semnan 6,005, Ardabil 5,465, Zanjan 4,200, and Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari 3,285.
Steep rise in the COVID-19 death toll
The 24.34% increase in COVID-19 infection and 10% in deaths in recent days can lead to another steep rise in the COVID-19 death toll. (Tasnim news agency, September 20, 2021)
In West Azerbaijan Province, 25 COVID-19 patients died in the past 24 hours, and with the admission of 380 patients, the number of COVID-19 hospitalizations reached 2,119, out of whom 311 are in ICU. (State Radio and TV news agency, September 20, 2021)
Alborz University
Alborz University of Medical Sciences spokesperson said: “During the past 24 hours 18 patients have lost their lives. 113 patients with coronavirus symptoms were hospitalized and the total number of patients hospitalized currently stands at 981,”. (Fars news agency, September 20, 2021)
Mashhad University
Mashhad University of Medical Sciences spokesperson said: “The COVID-19 situation is fragile. We have 1,500 COVID-19 patients hospitalized, 285 patients hospitalized daily, and 420 COVID-19 patients in the ICU,”. (IRNA news agency, September 20, 2021)
Kermanshah University
Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences spokesperson said: “For the second day in a row, 18 COVID-19 patients lost their lives in the Province,”. (ISNA news agency, September 20, 2021)
Qom University
Qom University of Medical Sciences spokesperson said: “One hundred and seven COVID-19 patients were hospitalized in the past 24 hours, and 18 died. Altogether, 710 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 222 in critical condition,”. (IRNA, September 20, 2021)
