The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and the People’s Mujahedin of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran), reported that mothers and families of November 2019 martyrs demonstrate in Tehran.
Protest by mothers of November 2019 uprising
ON July 30, 2021, the mothers and families of some of the martyrs of the November 2019 uprising gathered in protest in Azadi (Freedom) Square in Tehran. They marched on Azadi Street to support the Khuzestan uprising.
Call for uprising
The mothers and families urged the people to support the uprising against the clerical regime. They shouted: “From Tehran to Khuzestan, unity, unity,” “From November uprising to Khuzestan uprising, unity, unity,” “Enough living like slaves. Let’s rise up (against the regime).”
The mothers and families demonstration on Azadi Street
After the demonstration on Azadi Street, the mothers and families of the martyrs went to the Sadeghieh metro station to voice their demands. On the subway train and in the station, they openly continued their anti-regime slogans and held up pictures of their martyred children.
Repressive forces attacked and assaulted the protesting mothers
The suppressive State Security Force (SSF) attacked and assaulted the protesting mothers at Sadeghieh station to prevent the spread of protests and other people joining them. The mothers were savagely assaulted and arrested by the SSF and transferred to the Jannatabad SSF station – security division.
Maryam Rajavi hailed the brave mothers
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), hailed the brave mothers of the November 2019 uprising martyrs and said, “You have risen to seek justice for your children and the children of Khuzestan.
Your cries are the cries of Iran, seeking justice for 42 years of slaughter, executions, torture, plunder, and poverty. Ali Khamenei and Ebrahim Raisi are not able to silence your voice. This uprising will continue until final victory.”
