The number of victims across Iran
The number of victims in Tehran has reached 77,416, Isfahan 22,485, Khuzestan 21,116, Khorasan Razavi 20,195, East Azerbaijan 13,298, Mazandaran 12,855, Lorestan 12,850, West Azerbaijan 12,228, Fars 11,222, Alborz 9,473, Sistan and Baluchestan 8,841, Kerman 7,943, Central Province 6,818, Yazd 5,627, Hormozgan 5,375, Ardabil 4,040, Bushehr 3,734, and Zanjan 3,575.
The highest COVID-19 hospitalization and mortality rates
The mullahs’ regime Health Ministry spokesperson said: “Last week, Ilam, Kerman, Yazd, Mazandaran, and Hormozgan provinces had the highest COVID-19 hospitalization rates, and Sistan and Baluchestan, Yazd, Hormozgan, and Alborz provinces had the highest mortality rates, respectively. The National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce (NCCT) spokesperson Alireza Reisi said: “The daily hospitalization rate in the country exceeds 1,700 to 1,800 COVID-19 positive patients. With this situation, red cities will increase,”. (ISNA news agency, July 18, 2021)
Re-emergence of the COVID-19 outbreak
The head of the NCCT in Tehran Alireza Zali said: “If vaccination is not done in time, we will see a re-emergence of the COVID-19 outbreak,”. (Hamshahri daily, July 18, 2021)
Chairman of Tehran City Council said: “The daily COVID-19 death toll in Tehran has exceeded 100,”.
Governor of Tehran: Currently, 7,400 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in Tehran Province. (Mehr news agency, July 18, 2021)
Tehran University of Medical Sciences spokesperson said: “In the coming days, we will face significant deaths due to COVID-19,”. (Mehr, July 18, 2021)
Ahvaz University of Medical Sciences spokesperson said: “The number of new cases and people being hospitalized for coronavirus in Khuzestan province has increased by around ten percent and in the coming two weeks this province will enter a new peak,”. (ISNA news agency, July 18, 2021)
Mashhad University of Medical Sciences spokesperson said: “The number of people being hospitalized for Covid-19 is increasing. Currently, we have 1100 people hospitalized, of which 260 are in ICUs,”. (Mehr, July 18, 2021)
Maryam Rajavi message
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), repeated her condolences on the staggering COVID-19 death toll in Sistan and Baluchestan and called for nationwide support for the victims. She emphasized that Khamenei had not given up on the strategy of mass human casualties to prevent the uprising.
Otherwise, most of the fatalities could have been prevented. Transportation and rallies and the forced queuing of people outside polling stations during the election masquerade were clear examples of the violation of all COVID-19 preventive health protocols. The crime the regime leaders have committed, causing large-scale human casualties, is a crime against humanity.
