The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and the People’s Mujahedin of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran), call for immediate action to prevent the execution of political prisoner Mehran Gharabaghi.
Call to prevent execution
The Iranian Resistance published a statement that urges the United Nations High Commissioner and the UN Human Rights Council, and UN rapporteurs to take urgent action to prevent the execution of political prisoner Mehran Gharabaghi. He was taken to an unknown location in the early hours of this morning.

Mehran Gharabaghi was transferred to an unknown location
On Monday, July 13, 2021, early hours political prisoner Mehran Gharabaghi, 29, who has been in Behbahan prison since 2019, was transferred to an unknown location by intelligence agents and his fate is unknown.
On June 23, 2021, the Iranian resistance warned of the possibility of his execution and called for immediate action to save him.

Mehran charges of propaganda against the regime
Mehran was tried on May 25, 2020, on charges of propaganda against the regime, membership in the People’s Mojahedin of Iran Organization (PMOI / MEK Iran), participation in destruction and arson, disturbing public order, participation in the manufacture of incendiary materials, and ‘corruption on earth (Moharebh), which means to be executed.
The Ministry of Intelligence subsequently asked his family to pressure their son to renounce his beliefs and cooperate with the intelligence service against the Mojahedin.
