The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and the People’s Mujahedin of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran), reported that the mullahs’ regime official media uses the expression ‘Those who live in Albania’ which has become a habitual phrase.
The mullahs regime officials are concern about MEK
The Iranian regime’s officials see the members of the Iranian opposition the Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK Iran/ PMOI) who are now living in Albania as a big threat to their existence.
The Iranian regime is concern about the MEK’s influence inside Iran, especially among the youth by the social media and the internet, fearing the guidance of the youth by them.
The ‘Tirana virus’
One official said: “We are now dealing with two viruses, one is the coronavirus, and one is the ‘Tirana virus’, which is the capital of Albania, and there are more than 1,500 hypocrites (MEK Iran/ PMOI) in camps who have set up halls for them, and they go there every day and sit at the computer and start a psychological and an internet war against the Islamic Republic.” (Akbar Torkan, April 6, 2020)
This short sentence means that the only real threat to the regime’s existence is the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (MEK Iran/ PMOI).
Those who live in Albania
The mullahs regime officials and media these days, wherever they see video clips, music videos, photos, infographics, audio, or text with the theme of overthrow are shared among users on social networks when the regime’s cyber army follow the user who has shared an item, people finally make the conclusion that these messages are from ‘Albania’ and ‘Those who live in Albania’ have produced it.
Because they are the ones who ‘echo every sound and make a mountain out of a molehill.’ And they are constantly allocating data traffic on social media and subconsciously influencing the judgments and opinions of Iranian people across the country.
Speaking about the MEK is becoming an ordinary act
These real facts show that these days unlike in the past, speaking about the MEK is becoming an ordinary act.
The deputy director-general of the regime’s health ministry Iraj Haririchi said: “many of the tweets against the Iranian coronavirus vaccine are of Albanian origin.” (Tasnim, June 9, 2021)
The MEK these days have been blamed by the mullahs’ regime because of its attempts to reveal the sham presidential election.
MEK can be considered the steadfast foot
“The People’s Mujahedin of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran) can be considered the steadfast foot of all elections held after the 1979 revolution. Of course, not in a democratic guise, but in plans to disrupt the ballot box and destroy the election. The content produced by MEK in Albania, including photos, cartoons, clips, and notes, all focus on the same issue, which is basically that the ballot box in Iran has not achieved any results and the elections in Iran have not and will not affect the life and future of the people.” (Booltan News, May 30, 2021)
Overthrow is prominent
Also, this state-run daily is accusing the MEK that they launched a poll, but of a kind in which overthrow is prominent.
“The difference of these polls with the content published by MEK is that (this organization) along with stating such results also provides a version of the overthrow of the Iranian regime.” (Booltan News, May 30, 2021)
The effects of the MEK on the youths
The state-run daily Fars also showed its fear about the effects of the MEK on the youths and wrote: “About 1,500 people in Albania create about 60 suspicions every day in order to create despair in society, which is difficult for many, especially young people, to identify them.” (Mehr News Agency, June 10, 2021)
Nowadays the subject of ‘Albanians’ is far more than just a few people who have some ‘equipped halls’ and several computers. There are many others who have such and much more such equipment, the difference is that the MEK is a danger for the Iranian regime. Because they call for the overthrow of this regime. They are dangerous because they influence all walks of life, especially young people.
