The number of victims in Tehran has reached 70,676, Khuzestan 18,849, Khorasan Razavi 18,365, East Azerbaijan 12,393, Lorestan 12,120, West Azerbaijan 11,343, Fars 10,037, Alborz 8,478, Golestan 7,325, Sistan and Baluchestan 6,936, Kerman 6,753, Hamedan 6,673, Central Province 6,278, Kurdistan 5,172, Isfahan 4,040, Hormozgan 3,705, and Bushehr 3,154.

400 taxi drivers in Tehran have lost their lives
The director of Tehran’s Taxi Drivers Organization Mohammad Roshani said: “to this day 400 taxi drivers in Tehran have lost their lives to Covid-19. “Special attention is needed regarding vaccination for taxi drivers. I am begging you to pay special attention to taxi drivers because no other sector of our society has suffered so many losses,”.(State-run media, Asr-e Iran daily, May 30, 2021)

The National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce (NCCT) spokesperson Alireza Reisi said: The border provinces have turned red. Thirteen cities in Sistan and Baluchestan, Kermanshah, Hormozgan, Kerman, and Bushehr are red. (ISNA news agency, May 30, 2021)

The deputy head of the NCCT in Tehran Nader Tavakoli said: The fourth COVID-19 outbreak was much more dangerous than the previous waves, and the morbidity and death rate was much higher. It is not clear when will the fourth outbreak end or whether we will enter the fifth one or not? (Mehr news agency, May 30, 2021)
Tehran City Council spokesperson said: Two months have passed since the fourth COVID-19 outbreak, and until 56 million of the population are not vaccinated, the fifth deadly outbreak could happen. (Hamshahri daily, May 29, 2021)

Iranshahr University of Medical Sciences spokesperson said: The south of Sistan and Baluchestan is red. The number of COVID-19 patients has increased by 150% compared to the previous week, and Iranshahr and Chabahar hospitals are full. (ISNA, May 30, 2021)
