The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and the People’s Mujahedin of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran), reported that the coronavirus death toll in 541 cities surpasses 289,200.
The number of victims across Iran
The number of victims in Tehran has reached 67,231, Isfahan 19,125, Khuzestan 17,874, Khorasan Razavi 17,730, East Azerbaijan 11,818, Mazandaran 11,790, West Azerbaijan 10,778, Fars 9,367, Alborz 7,898, Golestan 7,080, Sistan and Baluchestan 6,636, Kerman 6,488, Hamedan 6,478, Central Province 6,028, Kurdistan 4,987, North Khorasan 4,233, Ardabil 3,672, Qazvin 3,359, Ilam 3,076, Bushehr 3,014, South Khorasan 2,721, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 2,264.
(NCRI) and (PMOI / MEK Iran): Khamenei and Rouhani minimize the danger of the COVID-19 and refuse to take any position on this colossal crisis.

Rouhani said: “If we can vaccinate 12 million, or 14% of the country’s population, by the end of the term of this government in August, we would have done a great job”!
Hassan Rouhani added: “There are not enough vaccine doses available in the world today. Neither inside Iran nor other countries. There are very few countries who were able to use the vaccine in relatively good fashion,”. He said: “If we are able to, God willing, vaccinate 12 to 13 million people who are in grave danger prior to August when this government’s tenure comes to an end, it will be a great achievement,”.
Rouhani added: “Certain is the fact that this virus still exists today, and it is spreading under various names and different mutations. As time passes by the mutations are seen in a natural manner,”. He continued: “There are cases of the Indian variant and most have been in the country’s southern and eastern provinces. We need to be careful in Sistan & Baluchistan, Hormozgan and Bushehr provinces,”

Cases of Indian COVID-19
The National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce (NCCT) spokesperson Alireza Raisi said: “There are cases of the Indian variant and most have been in the country’s southern and eastern provinces. We need to be careful in Sistan and Baluchistan, Hormozgan and Bushehr provinces,”.
He added: “All provinces have started to see a decreasing trend. Two or three provinces need to be more careful. East Azerbaijan, Hormozgan, and Sistan and Baluchistan need to take more precautions,”. (Mehr news agency, May 15, 2021)
