(PMOI / MEK Iran) and (NCRI): Scientific Committee of NCCT warns against prolonging the fourth wave and entering the new outbreaks, given the very slow vaccination rate.


The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and the People’s Mujahedin of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran), reported that the coronavirus death toll in 541 cities surpasses 277,000.

The number of victims across Iran

The number of victims in Tehran has reached 63,821, Isfahan 18,180, Khorasan Razavi 17,205, Khuzestan 16,949, Mazandaran 11,480, East Azerbaijan 11,328, West Azerbaijan 10,318, Gilan 9,606, Qom 9,300, Fars 8,664, Alborz 7,328, Golestan 6,920, Sistan and Baluchestan 6,351, Hamedan 6,258, Kerman 6,244, Central Province 5,778, Kermanshah 5,539, North Khorasan  4,108, Ardabil 3,507, Zanjan 3,050, Ilam 2,851, and South Khorasan 2,721.

Bushehr University of Medical Sciences spokesperson said: The COVID-19 status in Bushehr, Jam, Tangestan, and Ganaveh has changed from orange to dark red, which is very dangerous. A four-digit death toll in the Province is a wake-up call. (IRNA news agency, May 4, 2021)


Shiraz University of medical sciences spokesperson said: in the past 24 hours, 30 people have died, according to the IRIB news agency. There are 2,175 hospitalized patients in the province’s hospitals, and 318 people are in ICU, (ISNA news agency, May 4, 2021)


Alborz University of medical sciences spokesperson said: “In the past 24 hours, 17 people have lost their lives to covid and the total number of deaths has reached 3,614.” (ISNA news agency, May 4, 2021)

Shushtar University of medical sciences spokesperson said: “High numbers of incoming patients continue. Ninety percent of ICU beds and 60 percent of ordinary beds in the Khatam al-Anbiya hospital are occupied.” (ISNA news agency, May 4, 2021)


Ahvaz University of medical sciences spokesperson said: “There are currently 1,766 patients hospitalized in Khuzestan, of which 412 are in ICU.” (ISNA news agency, May 4, 2021)
