The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and the People’s Mujahedin of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran), reported that the coronavirus death toll in 541 cities surpasses 267,900.
The death toll across the country
The number of victims in Tehran has reached 61,371, Isfahan 17,510, Khorasan Razavi 16,850, Khuzestan 16,304, Mazandaran 11,230, Lorestan 11,208, East Azerbaijan 10,993, West Azerbaijan 10,043, Gilan 9,356, Fars 8,152, Alborz 6,933, Sistan and Baluchestan 6,101, Hamedan 6,043, Kerman 6,029, Central Province 5,588, Kermanshah 5,384, Yazd 4,702, Kurdistan 4,667, Ardabil 3,377, Qazvin 3,089, Bushehr 2,764, South Khorasan 2,616, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari 2,190, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 2,094.

Regime officials
Mullah regime’s Health Minister Saeed Namaki said: Coronavirus deaths will be on the rise and in the next few days we will have more difficult days in terms of receiving news of deaths due to the virus. (IRNA news agency, April 27, 2021).
Mullah regime’s deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi said: We have now up to 490 COVID-19 deaths in the past 14 months. The COVID-19 death toll, however, will reach 700 per day. (Aftab daily, April 27, 2021).
The COVID-19 deaths have increased from six to 34 in just one day, in Alborz Province. (ISNA news agency, April 27, 2021).
Governor of Bushehr said: The University of Medical Sciences is investigating the probability of the infection to the Indian mutated COVID-19 variant by eight Indian nationals in Bushehr who have been diagnosed positive for Coronavirus. (IRNA, April 27, 2021).
The Supreme Council of the Medical Organization Chairman said: Achieving the worst vaccination ranks in the world, conditioning COVID-19 vaccination to making payment, or prioritizing it based on classes is an indication of the weakness of professional ethics and inefficiency in crisis management in the country. (State-run media, Rouydad 24, April 27, 2021).
(PMOI / MEK Iran) and (NCRI): Khamenei and Rouhani minimize the danger of the COVID-19 and refuse to take any position on this colossal crisis.
Medical Sciences universities
Shiraz University of Medical Sciences spokesperson said: Coronavirus takes one victim every 37 minutes in Fars Province. This is extremely concerning and alarming. (IRNA, April 27, 2021).
Hamedan Medical Sciences University spokesperson said: “Twenty coronavirus patients lost their lives in the past 24 hours. The number of Covid-19 patients in [Hamedan] province stands at 1462, of which 60 are reported to be in dire conditions,” (IRNA, April 27, 2021).
Mashhad Medical Sciences University spokesperson said: “The number of coronavirus patients hospitalized across [Razavi Khorasan] province has surpassed the 1500 mark for the first time. (Mehr news agency, April 27, 2021).
Sabzevar Medical Sciences University spokesperson said: “Yesterday 52 new coronavirus patients were hospitalized in Vasei Hospital in the city of Sabzevar. This is the highest reported number of hospitalized coronavirus patients since the spread of this illness in Sabzevar,” (IRNA, April 27, 2021).
Bushehr Medical Sciences University spokesperson said: “Of the 19 Indian citizens who entered [Bushehr] province on Sunday eight tested Covid-19 positive. The local Medical Sciences University is looking into the possibility of these individuals carrying the Indian variant,” (IRNA, April 27, 2021).
(PMOI / MEK Iran) and (NCRI): Healthcare workers have blamed the high rate of infections on the lack of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) for medical staff and patients and the limited number of vaccine doses in Iran.
The vaccination process
“The vaccination process is an obvious example of corruption and lack of morality in management that has is very unfortunate and deserves legal action. Ranked last in the world in vaccination or making the Covid-19 vaccine a financial matter that can be afforded by certain branches of our society is a sign of poor professional morality and incompetence in crisis management in this country,” (state-run Roydad24 website).
