The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and the People’s Mujahedin of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran), reported that the mass graves of the 1988 Massacre victims in Tehran’s Khavaran Cemetery destroyed to eliminate traces of crime against humanity.

Crime against humanity

The mullah regime in an inhuman crime intends to destroy the mass grave of the martyrs of the 1988 massacre in Tehran’s Khavaran Cemetery. The clerical regime’s intention is to erase the traces of this grave crime against humanity.

Erasing the traces of this crime against humanity has been part of the mullahs regime’s deliberate policy. The clerical regime previously had destroyed the graves of the martyrs of the 1980s and the 1988 massacre in many cities, including Ahvaz, Tabriz, and Mashhad.

 

 

Criminal action to destroy the mass graves

After the call by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), condemned the clerical regime’s criminal activity to destroy the mass graves of the victims of the 1988 massacre in Tehran’s Khavaran Cemetery.

The Resistance Units and supporters of the Mujahedin-e Khalq (PMOI / MEK Iran) were posting placards, writing graffiti, and disturbing leaflets in different cities, including Tehran, Isfahan, Shiraz, Kermanshah, Khorramabad, Shooshtar, Amlash (Gilan Province), Tonekabon, Neyshabur, Babol, and Iranshahr.

Supporters and MEK Resistance units wrote, slogans such as: “Khavaran, evidence of Khomeini’s crime,” “Maryam Rajavi: I condemn the clerical regime’s inhuman destruction of the martyrs’ graves and the elimination of traces of its crimes,” “The clerical regime wants to erase evidence of its crimes in Khavaran,” “Destroying Khavaran is Khamenei’s crime against humanity,” and “destroying Khavaran is evidence of the mullahs’ crimes.”

Mrs. Rajavi also urged the United Nations Secretary-General, the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Human Rights Council, and international human rights organizations to condemn this criminal act and take immediate action to prevent the continuing destruction of the graves of the 1988 massacre victims and pressures and coercion imposed on Bahai’s.
