- The International Federation of Human Rights,
- The Friends of a Free Iran group in the European Parliament,
- The Minister of Interior and the General Director of the State Police in Albania,
- The NCRI’s Security and Counterterrorism Committee.
Demonization campaign, espionage, and terrorist plots
The letter reveals the details of a new and appalling campaign of demonization as well as espionage and terrorism targeting the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran).
The author has stated that he has plenty of documentary evidence that would be accepted before any court.
The author’s name is Hadi Sani-Khani and he is 41 years old. In 2003, he left Iran to live in Turkey. Eventually, he joined the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran) in Camp Ashraf and was then transferred to Camp Liberty in Iraq.
In September 2016, the (PMOI / MEK Iran) transferred him to Albania. In November 2016 he said he was no longer able to continue the struggle, so left the (PMOI / MEK Iran) and went to the office of the UN Refugee Agency in Tirana.
The Iranian embassy in Tirana
After two weeks he went to the Iranian embassy in Tirana. He recalled that for 4 years of his life he was snared by the Iranian regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) and its Iranian embassy in Albania. From that time he collaborated with official agents of the MOIS in the Embassy in Albania. The names of some of the MOIS agents were:
- Fereidoun Zandi Ali-Abadi,
- Ebrahim and Massoud Khodabandeh,
- Gholamreza Shekari,
- Ehsan Bidi,
- Hassan Heyrani.
He said he was used in various anti (PMOI / MEK Iran) activities, such as demonization campaigns, espionage, intelligence gathering, and investigating how to conduct terrorist actions against the (PMOI / MEK Iran).
In his letter, he mentioned that Zandi wanted him to collect any information he could about the whereabouts of Mrs. (Maryam) Rajavi and other seniors (PMOI / MEK Iran) officials. Manouchehr Abdi and Sa’adollah Seifi assisted him with this assignment.
He said In March 2016 he was assigned the job of leading some agents to compose articles against the (PMOI / MEK Iran). The topics were assigned by the Khodabandeh brothers and Zandi.
Publishing articles against the Mojahedin
These agents were told to set up more than one account on Facebook and one on Instagram, and each month they were assigned the task of writing and publishing 12 articles against the Mojahedin.
Sani Khani in the letter revealed that MOIS used a reporter from Der Spiegel in 2018 to write anti (PMOI / MEK Iran) stories.
Because the content of the letter is so important particularly after a court in Antwerp, Belgium revealed the method used by the MOIS in Europe, The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)’s Security and Counterterrorism Committee suggests that all Iranians read it and take note.
The only way to stop the regime’s terrorism and espionage in Europe is to prosecute and expel any agents of the MOIS, the IRGC, and the Quds Force and prevent them from using diplomatic premises to organize their activities.
