The dire situation of coronavirus fatalities continues in Iran, according to a thorough report compiled by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and the People’s Mujahedin of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran) announced on, February 8, 2021, that the Coronavirus death toll in 480 cities across Iran had exceeded 213,400.
The number of victims in Tehran is 51,291 in Tehran, 13,650 in Isfahan, 10,644 in Khuzestan, 8902 in Mazandaran, 8723 in Lorestan, 8113 in East Azerbaijan, 7611 in Gilan, 6432 in Fars, 5043 in Hamedan, 4734 in Kerman, 3917 in Yazd, 2359 in Qazvin, 2310 in Zanjan, and 1594 in Kohgiluyeh & Boyer Ahmad. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.
Deaths will rise in the next two weeks
Masoud Mardani, a member of the National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce (NCCT), said that there is a surge in the number of COVID-19 patients in the country.
Hence the number of hospitalizations and deaths will rise in the next two weeks. (State-run media, Shafaghna, February 8, 2021)
Reopening is a dangerous move
