Iran has broken the agreement .

(NCRI) and (PMOI / MEK Iran): Iranian regime’s priority is to build a capacity to make nuclear bombs.

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and the  People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran), reported that the mullah regime has breached the terms of the 2015 nuclear deal on numerous occasions. Many breaches have been ignored by the parties of the nuclear deal that have been keen to keep the agreement intact.

The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)

The United States, however, famously pulled out of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) because of the continued breaches and the mullah regime’s belligerence across the region and beyond.

On Sunday, the United Nations nuclear watchdog announced that the mullah regime was planning to produce low-enriched uranium up to 20 percent at one of its enrichment plants. This action can only be described as the regime resorting to further nuclear blackmail.

Despite the attention brought to the mullah regime’s violation of the terms of the deal, not just by the United States but also by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and the  People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran), the European signatories of the deal have refused to take firm action. Furthermore, the European signatories have gone as far as to reaffirm their commitment to the JCPOA.

Mullah’s regime breaches have been ignored

This has been a huge sign of weakness, and if we know anything about the mullah regime it is that it exploits weakness and takes the opportunity to become bolder in its actions.

The 2015 nuclear deal is a weak one. It is full of flaws and loopholes and it completely fails to address the many belligerent acts the regime is responsible for, including terrorist activities across the region and the violent suppression of the people of Iran.

The biggest failure of the JCPOA has to be the EU’s failure to hold the regime accountable, allowing the regime to actually accelerate its goal of being nuclear-armed. The regime is so reliant on its nuclear program as it is part of its strategy to survive.

Mullahs regime Nuclear Blackmail

The mullah regime has been blackmailing other countries for decades. Back in the eighties, it took hostages after storming the US embassy in Tehran. Since then, hostage-taking has become one of the regime’s go-to strategies. And the West has largely allowed the regime to use intimidation to achieve its goals.

When it became clear that the trial of diplomat-terrorist Assadollah Assadi was going to go ahead in Belgium, the regime announced that Swedish national Ahmadreza Djalali, an Iranian academic that previously taught at a university in Belgium, would be executed. This attempt to blackmail Belgium failed because the Belgian Parliament quickly adopted a resolution that would sever all ties between the countries should Mr. Djalali be executed.

This, however, will not be the last time that the regime resorts to blackmail.

The regime does not respond to appeasement and concessions. The only result of these is bolder acts of belligerence, therefore the regime must understand that there will be consequences to its actions.

The JCPOA is a failure and the EU needs to stop trying to keep it alive. The Iranian regime, in the first instance, should be held accountable for its breaches and the UN Security Council needs to re-impose the six resolutions to put a complete stop to the regime’s nuclear activities.

Maryam Rajavi: No concessions to mullahs regime

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran’s (NCRI): No concessions should be granted to a regime that slaughters protesters and breaches its commitments to the JCPOA, one after the other.

It is a mistake to think that a reduction of international sanctions will result in the regime abandoning its belligerence. Ironically, it was under the auspices of the JCPOA that the Iranian regime’s terrorism ravaged Europe.

The clerical regime’s failure to conform to the JCPOA limits on the number of centrifuges, capacity, percentage, and amount of uranium enrichment, research, and development, is a de facto departure from the deal.
