MEK Iran: Revolutionary Guards and the Iranian Regime Are Confirmed Terrorists

British MPs back the Foreign Affair Committee’s
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran, (PMOI / MEK Iran) and the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), reported that the Foreign Affairs Committee of the British House of Commons announced recently that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps be designated a terrorist group. This is because it does not act in the interests of the UK and the Iranian people themselves. No one is yet sure that this will happen, as these sorts of things often take a long time to be fully agreed upon.
Today, the FAC recommends @FCDOGovUK adopts an #Iran policy that:
– supports the Iranian people
– proscribes the IRGC in its entirety
– imposes Magnitsky-style sanctions on human rights abusers
– ends regime's hostage-taking diplomacy
– stops regime's missile programme https://t.co/C6CnD8tJvh— Dowlat Nowrouzi (@DowlatNowrouzi) December 16, 2020
So far, 37 MPs have voted for this to take place. Some of them were against foreign terrorism while others disagreed with the suppression of pro-democratic dissent both at home and overseas. The Ministry of Intelligence and Security was also mentioned as deserving a terrorist designation.
Those who live in Western nations and Middle Eastern countries who support democracy should welcome this outcome. It is time to do it now as the terrorist potential is still there despite the thwarting 2 plus years ago of an Iranian terror plot in France that if the taken place could have led to hundreds of deaths maybe even thousands. The attempted bombing of the rally organized by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)’s main constituent group and the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran, (PMOI / MEK Iran), were the groups that were the main target.

Back in Iran, the regime has cracked down on any dissent, particularly in November 2019 when an uprising took place in which 1,500 peaceful protesters were shot dead while thousands more were arrested. This sort of brutality on its own is a good justification for designating the IGRC as a terrorist organization. Reuters confirmed in a special report on December 23, 2019, about the deadly crackdown on November nationwide protests in Iran the death toll of 1500 that was announced by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran) on December 15, 2019.

The help given to Iranians in the Covid-19 pandemic has been so little that 188,700 people have died from the virus, with hundreds more dying daily. The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran) and the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), reported that some 188,700 people have now died from coronavirus in Iran.

Iran’s diplomat, Assadollah Assadi, controlled the largest terror plot in Europe. The bomb to be used against the (PMOI / MEK Iran) and NCRI’s Free Iran rally was smuggled into Europe by Assadi, who was a high-ranking Iranian diplomat and the 3rd counselor at the regime’s embassy in Vienna. He then passed the bomb on to two Iranian-Belgian associates with longstanding links to the Ministry of Intelligence. These 3, plus a 4th, are now on trial in Belgium, where prosecutors have emphasized that their operation was ordered from the highest ranks of the Iranian regime.
The Iranian government’s involvement includes both “hardliners,” associated with Supreme Leader Khamenei and the “reformists” who are supposedly led by President Hassan Rouhani. Also, the “reformist” Javad Zarif, the regime’s Foreign Minister who was responsible for conciliatory Western interactions with Tehran, was without a doubt involved as the supervisor of terrorist diplomats such as Assadollah Assadi.

Terrorist units of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) are responsible for terrorist attacks.
The US got some things right in 2019 when it made it clear that the IRGC and the Quds Force were much the same. The time has come for the USA, the UK, and their fellow allies to acknowledge that there is no clear difference between the IRGC and the regime. The regime is a terrorist regime and this designation should be given without any reservation.
