Over 165,200 Deaths

The COVID-19 has taken the lives of over 165,200 people throughout Iran, according to the Iranian opposition (PMOI / MEK Iran) and (NCRI).

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran), and the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has revealed that despite the underreporting of the regime’s figures on the deaths from Covid-19 the true figure is more than 165,200. These figures span 465 cities throughout Iran. This is far higher than the official death toll declared by the regime which is only 45,255.

The coronavirus death toll in various provinces includes 40,741 in Tehran, 11,885 in Razavi Khorasan, 9365 in Isfahan, 9010 in Khuzestan, 6865 in Lorestan, 6404 in East Azerbaijan, 5855 in West Azerbaijan, 5666  in Gilan, 4557 in Fars, 4440 in Alborz, 4150 in Hamedan, 4181 in Sistan & Baluchistan, 4121 in Golestan, 3583 in Kermanshah, 3198 in Markazi (Central), 2984 in Kerman, 2887 in Yazd, 2633 in North Khorasan, 2454 in Semnan, 1830 in Hormozgan, 1481 in South Khorasan, 1169 in Kohgiluyeh & Boyer Ahmed. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.

For every Covid-19 death, 200 to 1000 people have caught the virus. It has even been revealed that herbal medicines have been used which allegedly cure the virus. However, according to Minoo Mohraz, a member of the National Covid-19 Task Force, the Food and Drug Organization is allowing the use of a medicine that the Covid-19 Scientific Committee has not approved. Because this whole matter hasn’t been taken seriously the people have been literally paying millions of rials for the medicine.

Alireza Zali, who leads the national Covid-19 Task Force, mentioned on Sunday that the conditions prevalent in the city of Tehran are critical because so many people have the virus and little has been done to help the situation.

According to the chief executive of the Behesht-e Zahra Organization in Tehran, the city is experiencing 150-200 deaths daily, many of which are ending up in the Behesht-e Zahra cemetery.

Speaking from the Isfahan Medical Sciences University on Monday, about 50 people have died in the hospitals around the university, according to Mehr News Agency which is associated with the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

Shiraz Medical Sciences University head of Covid-19 confirmed 45 died from the virus on Sunday and the total deaths in Fars province stand at 2,195 and in the last 48 hours 448 more people were hospitalized due to contracting the virus. Just 258 people were discharged from hospitals.

According to the public relations department in Markazi Province Medical Sciences University, the last 50 days have experienced the same number of deaths as the last 7 months.

The official IRIB News Agency said the dean of Kermanshah Medical Sciences University declared on Monday that Covid-19 deaths had risen by 81% month-over-month.

Yazd Medical Sciences University treatment officer said on Monday that 20 people in the last 24 hours, had died of Covid-19 and there are 958 patients being treated in hospital with Covid-19 symptoms with 185 in ICU.
