NCRI conference

The January 2018 uprising included a cross-section of Iranian communities including those who lived in the poorer rural towns who the regime pretended it had supporters. These activities continued for several months but the Iranian regime became scared and went out to exterminate the NCRI and the (PMOI / MEK Iran).

The Iranian opposition, the National Council of Resistance of Iran’s (NCRI), and the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran) has organized many online conferences in the last few months where key political dignitaries from the US, Britain, and the European Union have contributed. One of the main points of discussion was to reveal Western policies toward Iran’s theocratic dictatorship.

Last Thursday, viewers from both sides of the Atlantic were invited to view an online conference.  This keynote speaker for this event was Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). Other NCRI officials who attended this conference included Mohammad Mohaddessin, the chairman of the NCRI’s Foreign Affairs Committee.

Mohaddessin’s key point was explaining how the Iranian regime had organized attacks against Mrs. Maryam Rajavi at two venues in 2018. It was trying to discredit recent uprisings in Iran supported by Mrs. Rajavi.

The most significant nationwide uprising took place in December 2017, which challenged the existence of the present regime.

The January 2018 uprising included a cross-section of Iranian communities including those who lived in the poorer rural towns who the regime pretended it had supporters. These activities continued for several months but the Iranian regime became scared and went out to exterminate the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK Iran).

The first go at doing this occurred at the New Year celebration in Nowruz, in March 2018. But it never took place as authorities in Albania arrested those Iranians who had planned to attack the MEK’s local compound which is home to 3,000 of its members.

In June 2018, two Iranians tried to get from Belgium to France clutching a detonator and 500 grams of very explosive material. They were going to target the NCRI’s annual rally, but this plot was thwarted by European authorities and two wannabe bombers ended up being arrested.

That terrorist-diplomat, Assadollah Assadi, has a trial date set for November 27th in Belgium. Many of the international media like Le Monde and Reuters reported the nearing trial.

Here he will be tried for terrorist activities. According to human rights lawyer William Bourdon “the Iranian regime itself” will be the ones sitting in the courtroom on November 27th. However, because of Europe’s appeasement towards the regime, no one really knows what is coming next.

The former Italian Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi said “We cannot wait any longer to implement a strategy of maximum pressure against this regime of assassins. The regime must understand that it will pay a heavy price.”

Mrs. Rajavi, the NCRI president-elect, has constantly been urging European lawmakers to designate the regime’s institutions, such as the Revolutionary Guards, as a terrorist group. “These are indispensable to ensure the security of Europe, and especially the security of Iranian refugees and dissidents,” Mrs. Rajavi said, adding, “this will bring about the friendship and support of the Iranian people.”
