MEK Resistance Units activities

MEK Resistance Units’s activities expand despite the brutal suppression of the Iranian regime

The Resistance units of the Mujahedin-e Khalq (PMOI/MEK) across Tehran conducted a major act of rebellion against the regime on Sunday night, by hanging up posters of MEK Leaders Maryam Rajavi and Massoud Rajavi with anti-regime quotes in different parts of the city.

That’s right. Despite the presence of the regime’s suppressive forces, who were on full alert for anti-regime activities, these brave MEK members were able to hang up posters of the MEK leaders in dozens of locations, including Saeedi, Azadegan, and Imam Ali expressways, Pirouzi, Shariati and Sabalan streets, and Sohrevardi Park.

Let’s examine just some of these acts by the MEK’s resistance units, pictures of which can be viewed here.

On the Saeedi Expressway, two posters were put up. One of Massoud Rajavi, bearing the slogan “More flames on the way. Uprising for freedom is ablaze” and one of Maryam Rajavi with the quote “Regime cannot stop the uprising with killings and arrests”.

On the Azadegan Expressway, the MEK put up a picture of Massoud Rajavi and the message “Rebellious youth have made life like hell for you”, while on the Imam Ali Expressway, his poster bore the words “Tremors of overthrow shake the ruling theocracy to its foundations”.

In Shariati Street, MEK members hung a poster of Massoud Rajavi with the quote “Victorious strategy of Liberation Army was tested in rebellious units, districts, and cities”, while in Sohrevardi Park his poster read “The overthrow of the anti-human enemy is certain”.

On Sabalan Street, the MEK’s poster of Massoud Rajavi read, “Rebellion continues. The only response to the Sheikh is fire. Ignite the flames”, while the picture of Maryam Rajavi on the Saeedi Expressway contained the words, “Iran will be free with the uprising and Resistance units”.

The MEK also published a photo of three people holding Maryam Rajavi’s picture, and chanting “Death to [Supreme Leader Ali] Khamenei, hail to Rajavi. Khamenei must know, he will be overthrown very soon”.

Also on Sunday, according to a statement on Tuesday from the Secretariat of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), of which the MEK is the main member, a kiosk belonging to the paramilitary Bassij forces and pictures of the regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei were also set on fire on Pirouzi Street.

These protests, which began over an increase in the price of fuel on November 15, soon became about regime change and it is clear they will not stop until the regime is overthrown.
