The protracted conflict between a discontented Iranian populace and its ruling regime continues unabated, with recent events indicating a power shift favoring the people’s movement.

As societal unrest amplifies, the regime’s response is increasingly seen as oppressive, leading to further alienation. The regime’s diminishing authority is underpinned by its evident erosion of strategic reserves and an inability to effectively counter the momentum of the Iranian resistance.

This unrest is mirrored in the regime’s desperate diplomatic tactics. On the global stage, high-ranking Iranian officials engage in daily pleas to Western nations, urging them to extradite members of the People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI/MEK) back to Iran. They offer assurances of a just trial, though such commitments are viewed skeptically by many. Concurrently, there are attempts to persuade wavering Basij groups – factions caught in a loyalty dilemma – highlighting purportedly improving relations with European countries.

However, the resistance is making itself heard both domestically and internationally. Active Resistance Units continue to rally support and spread their message of change, creating an atmosphere of determination. Their progress is finding a voice on the world stage, as international legislators and thought leaders publicly align with the Iranian people’s pursuit of democracy.

One of the most recent and significant endorsements comes from the U.S., where the “Ten-Point Plan” proposed by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, a leading voice of the resistance, has been backed by a majority of members within the California State Legislature. With prior support from legislative bodies in over forty countries, this state-level endorsement from California is particularly notable.

Of the 80 members in the California State Legislature, 42 representatives from diverse political backgrounds have voiced their endorsement. These representatives, speaking for millions of Californians, have penned individual letters backing US Congress House Resolution 100, which mirrors principles from Mrs. Rajavi’s plan. Key principles include gender equality, harmony across religious and ethnic divides, and the vision of a non-nuclear Iran.

The representatives emphasized the Iranian populace’s fervent rejection of both monarchical despotism and religious tyranny. This growing international consensus and endorsement from key international bodies bolster the resolve of grassroots activists within Iran, providing them with a renewed sense of purpose.

The solidarity demonstrated by the international community serves as a testament to the universality of democratic values. As global support consolidates, the trajectory is clear: a strengthening coalition of forces pushing for the birth of a democratic Iran, both from within its borders and from the global community.
