In a stunning revelation that underscores the hypocrisy of Iran’s ruling theocracy, leaked documents obtained by the dissident group, “Ghiyam ta Sarnegouni,” reveal that the Iranian government is using vast amounts of national wealth to renovate and expand the house of its Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, in Mashhad.

The damning documents expose a stark contrast between the regime’s proclaimed modesty and its luxurious expenditures. The Islamic Revolution Cultural Research Institute, according to Document N. 1, demanded substantial funds for the renovation of Khamenei’s opulent residence in Mashhad, a blatant display of indulgence against the backdrop of widespread poverty and economic hardship faced by the Iranian population.

Document N. 2 reveals another shocking detail: the active role of Ebrahim Raisi, the President of Iran, in advocating for more funds to enhance the already luxurious abode of Khamenei. The document divulges an apparent indifference to the plight of the Iranian people, who bear the brunt of the regime’s repressive policies and economic mismanagement.

Moreover, the documents expose the regime’s distorted priorities. Rather than investing in its people, the theocratic regime redirects essential national resources to serve the whims of its self-serving elite. This disclosure paints a grim picture of a corrupt system that places its own interests above the welfare of its citizens.

Adding to the outrage, the government’s misuse of national wealth extends beyond mere personal indulgence. The leaked correspondence reveals the regime’s wasteful spending under the guise of supporting “knowledge-based companies.” The Innovation and Prosperity Fund, as revealed in Document N. 3, was established to aid the commercialization of innovations and advanced technologies.

Despite the fund’s supposed role in promoting innovation, the regime exploits it to finance its ill-intentioned activities, leaving the country’s actual innovators to struggle. In conclusion, the leaked documents serve as a stark reminder of the stark divide between the regime’s rhetoric and its actions.

While the Iranian people grapple with dire economic conditions, the ruling theocracy shamelessly squanders the national wealth on its self-indulgent projects and malicious endeavors. The exposure of such corruption and hypocrisy should serve as a wake-up call for the international community to scrutinize the regime’s activities and press for the necessary changes to alleviate the Iranian people’s sufferings.
