The summit facilitated intense dialogue on Iran’s ongoing protests, the enduring struggle of the Iranian Resistance movement, and the appropriate policy approach towards the mullahs’ regime. Determination to aid the Iranian people in their fight against tyranny was echoed across speeches.
Keynote speaker Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), issued a stern warning against any appeasement of the mullahs’ regime. She equated such appeasement to an invitation for more executions, imprisonments, and bloodshed. Despite these potential perils, she proclaimed Khamenei’s downfall as inevitable.

and 70th US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo condemned the policy of appeasement towards Iran’s regime, emphasizing the need for a stronger stance. Both highlighted the MEK as a capable alternative, promising to ensure freedoms currently denied to the Iranian people.
Former Canadian Prime Minister Ste Harper acknowledged the courage behind the Iranian people’s persistent protests, which aim to end not only the theocratic dictatorship of Khamenei and Raisi but also to prevent the return of the monarchical dictatorship of the Shah.
Elisabeth Truss, former British Prime Minister, underlined the crucial role of Iranian women in the fight for freedom, advocating international support for their cause.
Ambassador John Bolton, former US National Security Advisor and UN Ambassador, warned of catastrophic global consequences if any nuclear deal with the regime materialized. He highlighted the significant role of the Iranian Resistance in destabilizing the mullahs’ regime, questioning detractors who label the NCRI and MEK irrelevant.
Lawmakers worldwide expressed their support for the Iranian people and the resistance movement. Among them, Janez Janša, former Prime Minister of Slovenia, US House of Representatives Member Lance Gooden, and German politician Peter Altmaier endorsed Mrs. Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan for Iran’s future.
Other leaders including Former French Minister Michèle Alliot-Marie and UK House of Commons Member David Jones stressed the importance of tangible actions in support of the Iranian people, highlighting the recent events showcasing the MEK as a genuine alternative to the regime.
Former US Senator Joseph Lieberman emphasized the significance of the NCRI’s platform for transitioning to democracy in Iran, while Gen. Wesley Clark, the 12th Supreme Allied Commander Europe, praised the Iranian Resistance’s steadfastness in their struggle.
In sum, the Free Iran 2023 World Summit embodied a united, international stance for Iranian democratic change. It underscored a consensus amongst global leaders for rejecting policies of appeasement, supporting the Iranian Resistance, and backing the NCRI’s Ten-Point Plan, ultimately envisioning a secular, democratic Iran.
