Following Saturday night’s earthquake in Khoy, West Azerbaijan Province, northwest Iran, residents have been left to fend for themselves in the freezing cold weather with no meaningful assistance from authorities. However, regime officials immediately dispatched security units to the area.

Iranian opposition President-elect Maryam Rajavi of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has urged Iranians who are able to assist their compatriots in Khoy. “I urge my fellow compatriots in Khoy’s neighboring cities and districts to rush to the aid of Khoy residents who have been affected by an earthquake and assist bereaved families, especially since it is freezing cold at night and covered in snow,” she said.

Similar reports of unrest have come in from Tehran and other cities, as general dissent against the mullahs’ regime continues to simmer. Protests in Iran have now spread to at least 282 cities. According to sources from the Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI/MEK), the regime’s forces have killed over 750 people and arrested over 30,000. The MEK has released the names of 637 protesters who were killed.

Members of the MEK Resistance Units attacked and set fire to a statue of former IRGC Quds Force chief Qassem Soleimani in Kopon, Fars Province, south-central Iran, early Monday morning local time. MEK Resistance Units members projected a large image of Iranian Resistance Leader Massoud Rajavi and Maryam Rajavi on the capital’s Imam Ali Highway on Sunday evening.

Locals in Tehran, including the Narmak district and the Negin Gharb Residential Complex, chanted anti-regime slogans such as “Death to the republic of executions!” “Death to the regime that murders children!”

On Monday evening, residents of Sanandaj took to the streets to protest the arrest of two local religious figures. Protesters are erecting roadblocks in order to seize control of their streets and demand their release.

People were seen taking control of their areas and chanting anti-regime slogans in the cities of Tehran, Mashhad, Qods City (west of Tehran), Isfahan, and Yazd on Monday evening. Protests were also reported in the Ekbatan, Narmak, Amaniyeh, Sattarkhan, Kuhsar, and Punak districts of Tehran.

On Monday morning, retirees and pensioners from the regime’s telecommunications industry marched through cities across the country. These rallies took place in Tehran, Mashhad, Isfahan, Yazd, Rasht, Sanandaj, Kermanshah, Ahvaz, Ilam, Khorramabad, Shahrekord, and Urmia, among other cities.

Maryam Rajavi has called on the international community to designate the regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) as a terrorist organization once more. “This is a requirement in pursuing a firm policy toward Tehran,” she concluded.
